On the serious note: This TT is strange as hell.... It looks boring, dull and the car is lifeless. And of course there's no fun factor here.

However just because it seems an easy task to "just" follow the yellow line we keep coming back to prove we can in fact stick the damn chariot from hell on the freaking yellow line.

Me and my dad found out a vine bottle that clearly has some imperfections, as we only drunk one glass each and the bottle is now empty....

I saw what @djolliea did in his replay and he drove to the left of the yellow line, I did about 75% of the whole time and found a tiny improvement. Hopefully Jeddah will get sidetracked with the GTWS and not lap here for a while, xD. So the target times can stay.

I just switched on the PS5 for few laps on Daytona and I immediatly saw the fantastic response from Monsieur @skydragon49 : 35.719
I had no doubt he will reply but I couldn't imagine he would do it so quickly and so brillantly because, 0.02 is a huge gap on this TT.

So, I had to fight back but not with 0.001...

After around twenty invalidated laps, I finally managed an improvement at 35.728
I've gained 0.011 and I still need 0.009. As said by my brazilian friend earlier, getting stick to this damned yellow line is far from easy. The Chaparral only wants to dance the samba in the curves, while I would perfer her to be quiet and docile.

Didn't shared the replay, sorry guys.

My objective for this TT is to secure a place in the 5000th first players.
And higher than @skydragon49 if possible

Guys, would it be qualified guess that next TT is Toyota GT One that Kaz just showed silhouette of, and maybe on Suzuka because of next coming F1 race on Suzuka?

Ideally I would agree, but I'm not at 35.79x yet and 2 million is twice as good as 1 million credits. So will try another 50 laps on each account again the next night..!

I knew you could/would get a new time. But please don't get any farther. 😂😂😂😂

After so much turning left laps, I'm afraid I'm going to forget how to turn right or use the breaks. 😂😂😂😂😂

PS: mental note to myself - gotta call my contact in the Daytona's marshal crew to have more french red flagged laps.

This TT is very strange, I dunno if the ghosts of the top 10 guys are legit as they run the inside of the double yellow line and when I try to do it i get a penalised lap, oh well it fun and bizarre to try to stick to it so lets see. I am on a controller though.

Yeah, the day before yesterday when I got my 35.638 there were 18 ahead of me with the same time down to the thousandth, today there are 8 more behind me. That makes 28 people with the exact same time.

I was definitely one of the people saying WTF when this TT dropped, but it is super interesting how it's playing out and how different it is from the other TTs. Daytona in the VGT and Sardegna in the Dino couldn't be any more dissimilar.

I'm enjoying this Daytona TT and forum banter about it way more than I liked the Lemans TT in that neutered Bugatti.

I can understand how one would think that there might be a legitimacy problem, but as per the usual PD standards, track limits are inconsistent. The aliens simply find the spots where they can be abused the most. I had a bunch of laps invalidated that I could not find where I ran afoul of the limits, and several where I know I did that remained valid. Good luck and keep trying.

That would be a blast, very nice to see it arriving in GT7, but would be a missed opportunity to not trial that on La Sarte imo, so we will prob get the Urus on Maggiore 🤣

@Chris30, I mean no harm and I hope I'm crossing no boundaries.

But! I feel like sharing with you a friendly reminder: avoid comparisons at all costs.

It is not good.

Focus on doing your best, learning TT by TT, lap by lap. And of course you must be aware by now that the regulars in this thread are more than willing to share things and answer questions you might have.

On the subject of learning, as stated few posts before, in this particular TT 0,08 is a considerable gap. I'm sure many times the fact that the shorter the lap, the more slim the margins are, were mentioned here. It gets harder to find time.

That's a piece of knowledge you were already exposed to. As you want to get better at TTs (and I do know you can do it) use every piece of everything you have been learning.

I put in some effort in both TTs tonight and improved both my times. Daytona now a safe gold, and Sardegna finally cracked into gold and I think that should be safe!!

Finally got a 2nd stint in the Dino and pulled it across the line, just barely. I can't figure out how to grab time on this TT. it definitely doesn't agree with me like the recent one at LeMans did for sure.

I'll be traveling next week, and I might not get another chance to run this one, so I hope this time holds up!

I would LOVE this.

Adding a little throttle while braking helps to keep it from coming around there on the brakes, but I also only make it through there quickly maybe 50% of the time!

I shouldn't be giving you tips though, because you're only 3 hundredths from being faster than me...

A little throttle on braking will settle the car for sure. It's a delicate thing with this car though. Very tender touch.
