Adding a little throttle while braking helps to keep it from coming around there on the brakes, but I also only make it through there quickly maybe 50% of the time!

I shouldn't be giving you tips though, because you're only 3 hundredths from being faster than me...
😁 Thanks for that power tip! Going to give it a go.

Suffering through there. 99.99% of the time I end up binning a solid lap through there.

Has anyone observed a strange effect during the last turn? I was putting together a lap like most of my others and about 2/3rds around the final corner started to gain more significantly on myself pulled out half a tenth vs my best running up to the line.

Drove a lot more laps trying to recreate it, even taking better lines around the corner, but even if I'm ahead at that point my ghost gets a march on near the end of the final turn and pulls that half tenth. I see it happen to a greater extent with the fastest times too but unsure why/how.

Jeddah racing @EbrahimX7 already commented on it.

If I'm not wrong, he said that it feels like if the car gets on the right spot it gets this sort of boost as if the banked corner had some influence over the speed.

Hence the need, and the difficult to nail it.

Wish I'd saved my best lap replay to analyse where it happened. I think the rear right independently slides down the base of the banking and so, for the briefest of moments, accelerates as if it were a straight line, instead of scrubbing speed from the friction of turning.

Well I messed up the first corner (+0.015) on my best lap where I nailed the other corner (-0.045). Got 409th.
OPT. time of 35.579 would have put me 81st in the world, so I know it's possible to get in the top 100, just have to nail both corners in the same lap!
Even without a lot of FFB it's still rough on the wrists and hands. Gonna need some physical therapy if I keep trying! 😆

Totally a typo. Meant I got into the 1.04s - to clarify. Barely, but I'm in there. 😂
When I quoted it you had corrected it already... I put in some work trying to get into the 1:04s yesterday and have a 1:05.106 to show for it at the moment! This has probably been the most effort I've put into a TT so far. I'm guessing 60 or so laps in now, and I WILL have that 1:04 if it kills me!

I'd love to be in the top thousand, but 1:04 has been my goal since that's where the fast ones live.

This one is tough. Worth the grind though because it's satisfying. You are fast, you'll get it. I have no doubt.

Evening all. I’m 25+ pages behind on this thread, so apologies for being absent and missing on everyone’s amazing efforts over the last couple of weeks. I haven’t turned on my PS5 since my initial run in the Veyron (which seems a very long time ago) but grabbed 45 mins today to have a go in the Dino. Unlikely to get another run but managed to drag myself into gold - crazy how far down my friends leaderboard I am though!!! Love the competitiveness here, just wish I had the time to join in these days. Great job everyone

I’ve been struggling so much with the Dino at Sardegna. I find driving this is a knife edge between brake locking slides (too much brake) and understeer to weight shift oversteer (too little brake). Both have me inevitably ending up in a barrier.

Somewhere in the middle is that perfect move. The trouble is when I do it. I usually end up with one of the other moves later on the track ruining the lap. I’ve been stuck about +3.3% for like forever. Finally, I managed to pull it together and I got this.

My optimal time has me for a 1:05.3 if I could keep it together.

Edit. After posting, I then managed to set a better lap: a 1:05.517 +2.52%.

Yup its one tiny line that you have to make the right tires lock on to it. Its so weird it makes the car even faster while turning than on the straight 😅. The earlier / longer you stay locked on to it the better the outcome.

Great job on that time. I'm creeping towards silver so I've got to get to moving tonight! I took a 5 hour nap earlier so I should be refreshed and ready to start lapping.

I was at an early Easter party with my family earlier today. I've had to catch up on 5 pages of replies just now. And I had last checked it only last night! This thread is moving so fast - almost as fast as the players in here are around the track! :D
Guys, would it be qualified guess that next TT is Toyota GT One that Kaz just showed silhouette of, and maybe on Suzuka because of next coming F1 race on Suzuka?

P.s . @P-Courty tried your settings, could but improve PB, thanks anyway.
Maybe PD will surprise us with Monaco Cote d'Azur and we end up with a replica of the S-License final exam from GT3.

If cool, I'm going to add you later. I feel like we're pretty even in terms of speed, same sort of group as @330_D, @Jeje6410 and @crome. Nice to have some good competition with evenly matched folks. :)

And good to see people pushing into the 1.04s at Sardegna. Join me
(but don't beat me)
Well I already did, and very honestly it wasnt a big challenge... :sly:

If you don't eat pizza-pineapple, you can add me :)
Actually wouldn't sausage taste better on pizza. Fruit would taste yucky to me, ick. Pineapple. It made my tongue burn/bleed a couple times several years ago.

@BeRSeRKeR_TR welcome to the GT club, you will have a lot of fun here racing with us! If you need any help, just ask us and the professionals here, they give excellent high quality tips for you to become faster in the game.
