I was out of the TT hunt and indeed GT7 for a couple of months because of hardware failure and then a disasterous new rig build. Trying to get back into it with the Dino, but it proved quite the challenge to get anywhere near the top of GTP leaderboard now. Last fall I could even sneak in a rare win against @Gomario JSP on road cars, but he along with a good few others have ascended out of my reach. I did at least a dozen sessions on this, first ones still familiarizing with the new gear and couple of very frustrating sessions ruined by GT7 forgetting about my pedal calibration settings (found out by watching replays that my gas pedal only hit ~90% and still got a 1:04.8).
So now, with my wrists sore as hell, I'm done. Top 100 was way out of reach, was trying to push for 1% from top but even that is proving a hair too far. This lap is .04 seconds short of my very best sector 1 and sector 2 is in fact my PB, so extremely close to my limit. Regardless of the current ruthless level of competition here, it's nice to see the community blooming! Keep it up guys!

Some good results to show for the sore wrist

Guys, I have a surprise, I have made a huge amount of progress today thanks to using @djolliea's ghost. I'm now sitting at a 1'06.848 with the Dino, here is the video. Watch how smooth I drove in most of the lap. You'll be amazed by watching this one. I still think that last turn is a lap-killer.
You know also I don't have many subscribers as I thought I would. My videos the past 2 years haven't been really that popular. Oops, I probably should have cut that first 1 minute and a half of the video because I made a couple errors and had to restart the session twice.
I am sure there are still some things I could have done to make my lap more smooth and steady. For instance this sharp right turn is costing me a little time.

I think the rest of the lap was fine to me, but tell me what you think. Thanks everyone for the tips. I have to learn from the masters!
Yes, if you want people to take the time to watch your videos, the least you can do is edit the videos so people can watch only the relevant partOops, I probably should have cut that first 1 minute and a half of the video because I made a couple errors and had to restart the session twice.
Bonkers. Nice work.I don't know why, but this TT turns out to be quite interesting, if anything, it's practical for me, to be driven in complete silence so that the kid can sleep in his crib next to my rig, I have a free foot and the lap is short so there are no restarts

What’s your success rate on that T2 “boost”?I don't know why, but this TT turns out to be quite interesting, if anything, it's practical for me, to be driven in complete silence so that the kid can sleep in his crib next to my rig, I have a free foot and the lap is short so there are no restarts

I'm at 1:06.0 with the Dino, so close but at the same time, so far. Controller players suffer here.
Got you another one, make sure not to get a cafeïne overdose now 😆Certainly nothing to be ashamed of and thank you very much for the virtual coffee. I'll be sure to have a stroopwafel with that one!
Really appreciate it gentlemen.
The Dino is a great car but it is a little softly sprung in places, atleast compared to the rally-ready Lancia Stratos which shares its engine (and is also an MR)… Can be quite frustrating when hopping over kerbsNot going well for me with these recent trials.
I simply cannot find the time in the Ferrari to make up any margin. All the lines requiring 3 wheels off the track are just impossible to get right, especially when the car hits the kerb coming back to the track which completely destabilises everything. Best I've managed is a 1:05.063 which puts me 1566th currently. Won't have time to attempt this one again so I guess that will be it.
What a laugh this Chaparral around Daytona is. At least it didn't take long to get a gold time, which better not improve any further. Current time is a 35.659 which places me 1626th which I'm sure will go down before this trial is over. Part of me thinks this trial is an April Fools day special given the fortnight it covers![]()
