Hahaha apology not accepted mate. Since your post, I'm trying to convince people to become friends. Plus, I draw too much unnecessary attention here. My plan was to sneak in, ask some "how to" questions to aliens and try to become faster. Now I have a lot of friendly enemies waiting to beat me in my friendly leaderboard. Thank you.

I'm surprised I'm on anyone's first page at Sardegna. I bailed out on that TT once I hit 2.5%. I really found that combo irritating, I think because I had been practicing GTWS events and I had gotten used to cars with stiffer suspensions and downforce.

In other news, some more tips from my observations at Daytona in the Starfighter. If you're on the wheel, at least.

Once you initiate the turn, loosen your grip on the wheel a bit. If the car is where it's supposed to be on the seam/groove, maintaining minimal steering angle, the car just follows the turn and is less likely to hop up the banking. Once I figured this out, I finally set a new PB in a matter of a few laps of my stint today. Almost a 0.020 improvement over the previous.

My optimal today isn't the best I've had but even that time would sit me in the Top 100 as of today. Still, pretty happy to have broken into the .5's.

We'll see how much lower I can get before the new TT drops.

Trust me, I never felt beating the likes of this group was easy, they're a fast bunch! :D

But good to have you out there dangling the carrot... You'll notice how I haven't yet added any of our other resident aliens!
I guess the Alien thing is always a matter of perspective.
For me as an example all guys are capable do Sardegna under 1.04.5xx are Aliens because I could never do that.
For everyone it is mostly a personal perspective.

Don’t take it seriously man i was just kidding.
For me it is the opposite with Daytona could bear it no longer than 10 Minutes good enough for a 765 and save gold.

Anyway amazing achievement 588 👍

My pet peeves are the right hander at turn 7 and the esses before the finish line.

T1 is not good everytime but sometimes it is ok, and it is the start of a promising lap.
T4-5 are okayish, I lift a bit, but it is better to lift than to invalidate the lap.

Look up ahead and aim for the orange (or red-ish) spot on the guard rail on the left side. Aim for it, as you were going to hit it. (Before going up, the turning point may be earlier than you think)

If you get as close as you can of it, then you can turn right in a better way and get the right position to deal with T7.

Thanks but T4 and 5 are not the worst turns for me. Much less than 7, where most of the time I lose whatever advance I could get in T1 and 4-5 and T8-9-10 where I lose the rest if there is one (or I gain a lot if I had a crappy T1)

I mentioned them, because I had the idea you were lifting off during them and that might cost you precious tenths. After T1 we go full throttle all the way up to the damn T7.

I lift a bit, but I have plenty tenths to win elsewhere. If I don't lift it is 99/100 an invalidated lap, so I prefer to be a bit cautious.

Turn 7 was long time for me the worst part as well.
Before I figured out brake a little bit earlier.
If you are little to late it always ends up in a disaster.
Can’t remember how many times I endet up in that freaky sand hole 🤣

That sand is damn sticky !

But I rarely end up there, I must be braking too much, I pass this turn easily but losing too much speed. Slow in, slow out 😅

I'll go and watch again @Tidgney's lap guide, and @Mistah_MCA's (not sure he had time to produce one), now that I know the combo better, I may benefit more from their guides.

By the way I follow Tidgney's ghost (which helps me a lot in T1)

I used @Tidgney ’s ghost to. I found the time I needed in the same turns you mentioned. Get turn 7 sorted, if you’re not playing in the sandbox once in a while then you need more speed. Turn 10 was very hard for me to because you have to be on the throttle so early.

Have a watch of @Tidgney replay (you can loop the replays now) look at the braking and turn in points for T7.

Don't know how ya'll be keeping that spaceship on the left side of the yellow brick road. Think I'll take my .755 and, if the supreme being doesn't get froggy, my 2mil and run. Bought and drove this car back in GT6 at HSR and was fairly disgusted with its mid-speed turn capabilities. Wasn't planning on buying it in 7 but, if my time holds up, I'll get the cost back plus more. At least it has a VR cockpit view, albeit cramped, which is more than can be said for some of the other VGT cars.

@NicoGmbh I sincerely regret to inform you, current organizational policy prevents me from accepting your FR at this time. ;) 😉:lol:👽👽:P This old man has more folks on his FL above him than he would like. Thanks for thinkin' of me though.
 
How do you get access to that special event? Or is that going to be the next sponsored TT.
