Phew, I think I'm safe at Daytona, 0'35.798. All I did was a total of 25 laps and boom, got the gold!! So I'll be getting 2M credits in about 7 hours. Jeddah and Doodle, please be kind and not try to improve anymore, for the sake of us all, xD.

It’s a good one for getting that alien badge and placement PR.
I have also been using 3rd person view as I find it easier to stay in the sweet spot

I'm a diehard Chase cam user,and i was switching between far and near view,i went with near ,everything just seemed to fall into place today

Curiously enough the haripin is exactly where I lost most of visual contact with Tidgney's ghost. I'll try to open up the line and get on the gas earlier. (Not that I'll catch up with the guy anyways 😂)

T13 I tought I should be close to the curbs on my left thinking I would be getting a shorter line to exit. But as you explained those turns at S3 we want to get wide and then bring the car in.

And I'm not gonna lie, it's difficult for me to trust, let's say this way, the car to roll and turn. I just have the urge to tap the gas and go just to get it done quickly.

I'll try for sure to tackle S3 again and practice what you shared. Those points will indeed be of much help.

At the Daytona Trioval LTC, I had set my fastest time at 0:35:690 without the use of a steering wheel, ABS, traction control, ASM or countersteering assistance. My fourth gold in the LTC was about to arrive.

I took one last stab at Daytona tonight hoping maybe I'd luck into good lap. So many red times, but I finally hooked up one which gained me ~1,700 spots overall. I nailed the final turn for once.

Buuut (because there has to be one)....it happened on a lap where I had an awful first sector. All those .40's and even a couple .39's, and I run a damn .42 on my fast lap. I actually had a chance for a sub 35.6. At least I was consistent in sector 2.

To top it all off, miraculously I became the top piece of bread in the @Evilmuffin/@Gomario JSP sandwich. Just .003 above the Muffin Man. (no need to make another attempt, my friend)

I'm still stunned by Doodle's miracle last minute lap on Sardegna with the Dino. I read about 3 pages tonight and some of your posts/comments made me laugh/crack up!

Jeddah got a huge surprise, he got P1 taken away.

I don't know if it helps someone but my lap at Fuji that was half a second better than the rest, giving me a 33.0 instead of a 33.5 just needed one corner. Until the second to last corner i was behind my best to date. The weird left i did brake a little later but a little more than normally, had a good exit being sooner on the throttle than normal. Even before the last corner i recognised the huge effect on my delta time and just tried not to bottle the last corner (=took it wide and cautiously) which apparently came out ok.

Take it easy at first through all those cambered corners. As you get more confident with it, you will naturally start applying more throttle and your sector time will improve.

And respect for that time on the pad, I couldn't stand this TT so realy golded it an ran as fast af.....🤣

I went blasting on Fuji for one last time and went from 32.329 to a whopping 283 this morning netted me 66 places on the international board ....🤔💩

More worse....... I gained 0 spots on my personal board 🤣🤣
I realy accepted the wrong people 🤣

So 666 ....ill take it... 🤣 just above @Evilmuffin .....saus on the sandwich...🤣

Now let's hope for a pad friendly one now cause my hands are done 🤣

A big congratulations to those who made the top 100 at Daytona because it wasn't easy, but for me 10 minutes on this TT was more than enough. I don't know if you can really call it car driving. I think we should add a badge like this:

Fuji is a blast in the Toyota. High probability that you will enjoy it. I didn't at first, but it now ranks as one of my top favourite TTs, even though its not my highest ranked ones.

New one - I really dont know about these VGTS..
Hope it does not handle like a speed boat.

So I'm guessing you're not a fan of Suzuka. Lol, durn I was hoping it would be the East Course. Oh well.

Looks like the aliens has their work cut out for them, this should be a bloody battle in the Mclaren.

Oh, no one is driving the VGTs, let's put them in quite some TTs and at least one of the weekly challenges...
Don't get me wrong, I think it's good for a game if manufacturer put in the work to design those cars. I just don't enjoy driving them. Onliest good thing is that the McLaren VGT propably has an appropriate amount of downforce, grip and overall handling for the amount of power it has. Or are there 2 of them, the normal one and the Gr.1 and the normal one sucks?
Edit: At least i like Suzuka, even though I always struggle to build up the pace in sector one and I struggle even more to put together a clean lap

You're probably right but I'm realising I blow very hot and cold with TTs in general, I either love it and put lots of time in or have difficulty finding the motivation for even a single session.

This is the third TT with a VGT or high downforce car, Daytona, Fuji and now Suzuka. What will be next? God, I hope it's not at an unusual track like St. Croix.
