TCS or ASM are still helpfull aids now and then, i'm almost always off aids (besides the ABS), but sometimes i'm just a tiny bit faster with it, like the first Interlagos TT, i was alot faster with the GTR with countersteering on, and then i'm using it ;)
So with the TT's i'm kind of switching witch setting workes best, it's almost always without aids for me, but in some cases they do help me.
With this one i could sneak comfortably in the gold range turning ASM on, but now ( like always?? ) on or off, i just can't match my gold time anymore  but i'm not the only one with that problem turnes out.

Keep trying!, you got this
I tried both ASM and TC in various combos and couldn't really improve on my time. Logged in to just run 6-8 laps to get my daily mileage and kind of without concentrating I finally broke into silver with a 1:03:72. Should hold up with there only being a day left but who knows...

I'd like to push for gold but I had to fight for 0.02sec, so finding a full second probably isn't going to happen. I'll take silver on a track I hate in a car that isn't very friendly

Well the 7 lap race version of this TT in the 25th Anniversary races is fun! Just tried it today. Best I could manage so far is 4th, fastest lap being 2 seconds slower than my best TT time - I'd guess this race is an easy million for many of you here!

I've been proper ill the last week but managed to jump on for a few laps. Tried with ASM on as recommended even though I felt dirty doing it, definitely helps. Took a few tenths off down to a 1:02.2xx now. Doubt I'll try again - have we worked out the official end date?

I really hope so that my 1:02.656 will be enough, because I can't go nowhere near anymore...
top time just went down by .040, now sitting at 1:0.855. Sonuva. Gold time is now 2.680.

You're still okay, but... less okay. I know how you feel, my 2 account is sitting at 2.617.

Who else here is sick of the Escudo?

I did most of my laps today (200 km) and I feel like I've driven this car for an eternity. Produced a 1:02.4, can't be arsed to do more as it should be sufficient for gold, not expecting for the WR to improve.

This TT made me feel like commiting exctinction on Suzuki.
400+ cars in the game there is absolutely no need to be repeating cars we are using already.

They need the various teams to talk to each other more and reschedule the TTs to coincide with content drops and make use of them. This TT could have used 1 of the new cars and/or the new track.

I was really surprised to see Escudo again, even if it's just an excuse to showcase some of the old races in the competitive scene.

We've also had a handful of Nissans already, I hope the next car is something more unique, perhaps an old one (Sierra, GT40...)

Thought I was done but saw the thresholds dropping so I came back for more. Finally broke into 1:02's with a 102:934 so now I'm pushing for gold.

I've been running the ghosts of some of the aliens and realize I'm losing in two main places: 1) the second turn (sweeping right-hander) 2) the final high-speed right onto the straight. I can somewhat keep up everywhere else but I see the ghosts gaining quite a bit on me at these corners. Pretty sure I've not gotten below the 20sec mark for the fist sector but from the positioning of some of the aliens the must be getting like 0:19.300 or quicker.

So for the first of these corners what gear are you guys using? Alternating between 4th/5th? Staying in 5th and letting off the throttle for better turn-in? I just can't seem to find a smooth/fast line through turn 2 staying in 5th, but if I drop into 4th I know I'm losing time. How about the final turn? Light trail-brake in 5th to keep the revs higher? Tap the brake and hope you don't end up in the desert?

Any suggestions would be appreaciated.

Don’t brake in the final turn. Just lift enough to get it turned in.

I just enter in 5th, go through the turn like half-throttle all the way and shift down to 4th when the revs drop enough
Entering in 5th just shaved two-tenths off my best by doing this the first time I put a clean lap together entering in 5th. Thank You!

For whatever reason my instinct is to tap the brake and down-shift at that corner and I'd never even realized I was doing it/how much time it was costing me. 1:02.731 now so I'm getting closer. Again, thank you very much.

But do stay on the throttle slightly? For whatever reason I'd never considered this approach either, lol. Kept trying to just BARELY trail brake in the vicinity of the brake zone to keep the revs up so I could get into 6th quicker on the straight but it was obviously not working. Thank you, I'm off to try it now! Could be the difference between gold and silver for me as I'm getting really close to my skill ceiling on this one.

I suspect the top guys will be mid 0:18. My best lap (1:01.762) I was 0:19.0xx. But mostly 19.2 to 19.3.

Having watched this by @Metalgear9493 I stay in 5th. I can't stay in 5th in turn 1 like him though.

No braking. Follow advice ftom @ghskilla here.

Ah, somewhere deep there inside me there is potential, my ideal lap is 1:01:840 but i can't pull it together, so best so far is 1:02:341. Huge difference in placement, i am placed 2500 but if i could get my ideal sectors, it would place me on 410, at the moment.
Still more practice needed for me.

Yeah, my guess was way off. I'm getting 19.5's and 19.4's for that sector now and I'm still a tenth back from gold. Waited too long to take this one seriously and am just running out of time. Changing my brake points for many corners and essentially re-learning it again with 13-14hr left. Been trying to get through the first corner in 5th myself and I can't pull it off either.

A tough time trial but fun. Definitely a little frustrating at times. But Willow Springs Big Willow is my favourite track so I’m happy to have accomplished my second top 100 as I knew I was capable of it. It took quite some pain, suffering and persistence but it did pay off in the end. Put myself 72nd with 1’01.452 a couple of hours ago, probably gonna drop to 75, 76, 77 or so but I’ll happily take that!

It was interesting because first I jumped onto this one on an alternative account and set a 1’01.735 after just three, four laps which I consequently struggled a bit with to match on my main. Eventually did it. And then .609 followed by .582. Tons of frustrating .6, .7 and .8’s after that before finally nailing one that I could personally be satisfied with as there were obvious flaws in my .582 even if it overall was a good time. Unfortunately didn’t nail the final turn on my best lap which was a bit disappointing but at that point it still felt so relieving that my energy to keep going pretty much deflated instantly, if that makes any sense. Slight pain in my hands too, in my defense. :D

Went back and forth a bit with ASM, not really feeling that it made a massive jump in time for me. The .452 I finally did was with ASM on but honestly, I was fine either way. And here’s the lap.

Noticed I was still in gold by 3 thousandth of a second, so put in another stint. I'm now about 5 hundredths to the good and hoping for the best.

Despite the website still showing the Escudo/Big Willow TT is open to 12 December, I think it is closed, so here are the stats.

The second table's averages include all 12 TTs so will differ from the first table's 'Previous TTs' column, which comprises the first 11 only.

On a personal front this has been my top TT for nominal position and percentile (324; 0.27%), gap to 1st (1.49%) and gap to 100th (0.42%).

Well, got it down to 1:05.20x, best I could do, but good enough for a cool half million! Surprised the Aliens didn't break the one minute barrier..... they were so close!

So when do we get paid for this? I did a round and got bronze, but I didn't receive the prize.
I was given mine when I opened the trial. It's still showing but is now closed for registration with no replacement yet.
