0.2s from gold in my pb, but several laps where I was 1s below by sector two.
So it 's doable, even though not for granted.

Trail brake is crucial here, particullary through the chicanes. i have improved a bit that skill, but cannot bring it in the second piece of the chicane yet. It is probably not needed for the gold, but still it's something that may be very beneficial

some replays do not display time, not sure why
From what I have gathered, the replays that show the time are from the TTs (Lap Time Challenge).

Any that don't show the time are not from the TT or is a replay of more than one lap (see picture below showing "best lap replay").

Although if you search on a phone it won't show the time on any of them.

B) why it's not easy to find ghosts in my range (mostly about 2-4÷ behind the best time).
I would love if it would be possible for anybody though...
The only way that you could find it by ranking / time order would be to select the TT from the sport menu, select your car, but before you actually enter with that car, go to the rankings tab.

On that tab you can look for a time near what you are and select that person, it will give you the option to go to their page, have a look in their replay showcase, and if they haven't shared a replay then try another player.

It's not as easy as being able to see the replay icon on the rankings but it's a way to look at times closer to yours.

Okay, so I nearly forgot I needed to do last week's weekly challenges, so I did that last night. That meant today was my first crack at LeMans. My lap would have been a good half second faster, but I nearly went flying off into the gravel trap in the final chicane. I don't understand that particular curb. Sometimes it just flings my car to the left for reasons unknown. Naturally it would do so on my best lap. Also, I continue to loathe the track limits here. The bend before Indianapolis caught me out on one occasion, and I'm still not sure exactly what I did wrong because there is no way I cut it enough that it should have been an issue.

To my horror @Dan_Tes had beaten my time by 0.004s :nervous:

Wasn't planning to grind this one a lot but with such a tiny gap I had to try. Managed to get down to my previous best pretty quickly so I knew there was more time in it. Knocked off a tenth and a half to retake the top of my leaderboard :gtpflag:

Frustratingly I had another 3 tenths on one lap before running deep into the tight right before porsche curves and finishing with a time nearly equal to my best, plus another where I touched the wall in the Porsche curves to invalidate.

I'm sure I'll be trying to pull that out of the bag again shortly when someone knocks me down my list.

For the final chicane, it is best to not cut too much. While the track limit is pretty generous there, the car doesn't like them much. If you wheels hit the curbs at an wrong angle, it bounces your car side way. If you try to get the curbs in between the wheels, it hits the undertray and the car will fly to all kind of direction except where you want it to go.

The right kink before Indianapolis, your right wheel can't go over the curb or even completely on the curb. Best to not attack it, it is right where you want to brake anyways, you won't lose too much time for going easy there.

As for me....after some effort finally got my 3:38.7s back

Nice to have you back Chris!

Still haven’t touched the Civic, and why would I want to when there’s a McLaren at Le Mans to take for a spin! Spin being the operative word - what’s going on with that last chicane 🤯🤬😅

This is my first session, but I think there’s maybe only a couple of tenths left in the lap, and it will require some luck with the track limit pixels (and that last chicane) to nail it.

Early doors so expecting to slip down the order over the weekend, but a decent start

Thanks to 993 at Nurburgring, I managed to do the CE in about an hour and grabbed another 6 million
After reading this I tried to gold the rest of the Nordschleife (had only 3 gold sectors) and the recent TT really helped me to get faster on the Nordschleife. Even though I couldn't get gold on the TT, golding the CE was not a problem. 5million is really nice 😅

@crome love the add-on. Thank you 🙃

Second session at Tsukuba, strangely I am incapable of doing at least the same lap times as the first time I tried.

Only improved last sector by 0.004s...

Seems like some had the same idea as me about the Nordschleife CE. So I tried this after my laps at Tsukuba. That BMW is a monster compared to the 993. My lap was going well, until I don't know why, I was a bit too fast in the karrusel and barely touched Barry R.

I definitely go back there as I feel I can improve my best time (6:55...) but I need to tame the beast.

I knew a 39 was on the table, but I can't say the lap was perfect. I stuffed up the Porsche Curves from the blue wall to Karting, so I must've got lucky through the final chicanes. Either that or I made enough of an improvement elsewhere. My brother said I was extremely close to having my lap time invalidated. How close you say? Here:
Sometimes, I find something out of nowhere when the kitty instinct kicks in. You don't think too much about what you're doing because the second you do, you've lost your lap. When they want to, cats (and humans) can focus on one thing really intensely and not get distracted. Sorry if that sounds stupid but it's true.

I think I can better, I made big mistake at the final chicane, or after it.

I think there is a gold time in you. I feel like you are braking maybe 1/2 a car length too late most of the time....maybe try braking slightly earlier and let off the brakes slightly earlier so the car turns better. I found the car doesn't really like late braking...it just understeer badly if you try to yeet into the corner. Also, use the whole width of the track. Put the car at the edge of the track...abuse those curbs (execpt for the sausage at the last chicane, and the right kink before indianapolis).

Yes, that would be the way - but such an unnecessecary waste of time only bc Polyphony developers' strange strategies...
Luckily I usually don't use the ghost of other users bc driving with my own ghost gives me more benefit in exploring fast or slow parts and where to improve. But I just wanted to share my own ghost for others who may find it helpful...
Thanks for your reply!

I know you didn't ask for advice but I really think you can gain multiple seconds by opening out most turns on entry. Everything you're doing with throttle control, braking etc looks good but you're turning in from the middle of the road in quite a lot of places, look at the mulsanne chicanes for the best examples of this.

Try to avoid creeping over to the turn before the turn in point, as this will make the corner tighter, meaning you have to slow down more. So for the first mulsanne chicane, you'd stay far to the left for longer then turn in.

Not sure if i've described that well so I did a comparison of our road position at the curly arrow for this chicane

Hello everyone, I am back from a 7-day stay in the Emergency Room, I was taken there May 28th around 4pm. I had a blood vessel rupture on my left ankle, it stung, burned and itched a lot. The nurses and doctors took good care of me, they gave me antibiotics. I have had to be on a strict schedule this past 9 days, I will be back this weekend. Tomorrow is my last day, hooray.

I have truly missed gt7, so what's been going on lately? I had a rough time in the ER, I've lost quite a bit of sleep. I am so glad to be back home and on my cozy couch.

What is the new TT now, I haven't even looked yet.
Pretty lame excuse for avoiding the Ring! 🤣
Glad to see you back.

BOOOO!!! (yes, I'm back from holidays)

After applied the 1.48, I've tested the Tsukuba challenge with the little Civic.
How fun is that combo ♥ The car is nice, the track is short, the challenge is perfectly "Titan compatible" 🥰

After less than 10 laps, I've entered the yellow territory:

I should be happy with this unexpected result but my optimal was far from my PB:

So, I've decided to keep pushing, being more aggressive on brakes, more anticipation on braking points, and applying full throttle much earlier.
And my new PB is more compatible with my expectations:

Still 4 days before the end of this excellent TT and I'm sure there's some tens on the table...

ATTACK!!!
