Oh dear. I'm out of gold again by 0.034... How on earth did he find 0.3 seconds overnight? Given he usually turns up on the last day and sets the best time in one go?

Wow... speeshless :embarrassed:

about uploading replay videos to YouTube, this is the situation I would like to see those first 3, if they saved the ghosts, but I will just have to wait to come home...

I did it!!!! And by the narrowest of margins.

0.007s!!!!

I’d just changed my oil after several laps in the low 29s I wondered and sure enough my oil was normal after my earlier session. It seems that made the difference.

GT7 | Le Mans TT | Getting gold by 0.007s | PS5 Pro | PSVR2

Now can I kindly request that K. de Bruin not try to extend his mammoth lead any more.
Awesome stuff, so close! 👏

I'd wondered about oil changes and if they affected time trials, but shrugged and imagined no way as surely everything must be equalised – was I wrong? Do I actually need to be watching out for needing oil changes? 😩

Curious too, who are the typical Alien Gods™️ of Time Trial? Seems like you's know this one who's on top of the rallycross, and then there's yer man Jeddah who seems to be #1 for anything I've ever seen him on a leaderboard for.

Where do you use it ? and how ? (just a tap at the apex, before? longer than a tap ? )
My 0:46.7 seems shaky if the aliens keep on improving...
Yes, it's bizar how much time they find even on those short laps :boggled:
i use the handbrake right after the point a start rotating just to get the back end out.
altho better to see in the lap i posted above.

I can't imagine a .744 dropping into silver, but you never know these days :lol:

I'vve done 46.205 on Worn oil, I don't think it makes a difference.

This TT can suck it. If I lose my year-long gold streak from this then PD and P1 are on my naughty list for 2024. This combo is infuriating.

Are you guys using the handbrake anywhere else besides the hairpin type T5?

I'm on pad tapping the handbrake at turns 5 (the double left-hander) and the final corner (sometimes depending on the angle) has helped a lot, I noticed several of the top ghosts using it, it is a little random though and if too much is applied the car will bog down and lose time

sheesh...I did a bunch of laps last night and couldn't even get into silver. I was at around 5.10% but I guess now I'm probably at 5.4% or something. I don't know how it's even possible for the top time to drop several tenths at this point on a lap that's only less than a minute in length...

It's gonna be very loooooong...

0:48.159
0:48.151
0:48.070
....

Don't wait for me, i'm gonna slow you down.

BTW, I've tested the "start in reverse mode". At my first attempt, I've... hit the wall with the trunck of the car
If you do it right, you can gain minimum 0.3 sec. Pretty impressive to score a 12.8xx on the first sector.

But as it's a pretty boring process, I've deciced to start in the normal way. As I'm very far from the WR, it won't change a lot for me.

correction - I sit currently at 5.79%. Sunnuva!

I'm not bothering with any reverse cheats to gain 3 tenths at this point. Once I'm battling for top spot on the leaderboard I'll worry about that!

I can't wait to pull down the shutter at work and pull up the shutter in the garage.

Weekend goals:

Return to LeMans and test the Nissan again. Not to lower the time (by the way, if that happens, I don't hate it), but to understand the car. I had already used it, but then my best stints came with Mazda

Bringing home at least bronze in the new TT. I'm suspending judgment because I haven't tried it yet, but usually the dirt or snow tracks in GT7 taste a lot like arcade to me

Oil does affect your own cars. While the car is BOPed from a running and setup perspective that is based on an idea engine. The engine can still downgrade from there.

Rental cars don’t have this problem.

Hi guys (and Greek)

Still working on improvement with the Yaris. I've finally unlocked the entrance to the 0:47 after many, many, and many attempts.

Yes, I'm in silver just by 2 tenths... :(

S1: 13:207 - No trick here, so it's just a medium score (my "normal" best is 2 tenths faster)
S2: 34:394 - Still need to improve the turn before the straith (I'm losing tenths here) and the long left turn at the end of the same straith. The final turn is like a russian roulette (I was probably lucky on this lap).

My best optimal is really optimistic but who knows:

Here is my progression for today:

I'm guessing you're supposed to lose basically all momentum, then essentially straightline it to the line for the best acceleration.
Yes and no. If you drop below 15mph or below its pickup is incredibly slow. If you manage that or slight above then you're basically wheelspinnin' it to the line. Trick is to have as minimal steering input after the car is rotated. Its a toughy.
