Early handbrake at the first 'hairpin' turn instead of late to set the car up for a faster exit - and a sharper turn-in on the last corner to get the car pointed to the line faster.
You can proper hook the wheel all the way around like you're playing an actual rally game on the last corner, it feels unintuitive at first for Gran Turismo considering you'd never do it otherwise but the car sticks with it and pulls you around a lot quicker.
Are you straightening up as soon as you're facing the line and pushing forward? Or curling around a bit after? This corner is the bane of my lap. I find the wheels are just churning again and I'm not moving forward.

It is currently 2nd most difficult
And it has just become a little more difficult...

How much until it goes up to THE most difficult one? What time is needed? Not that I am cheering for it, just curious 🧐
It's not just time; the other columns in the main table play a role too in the algorithm. Still a long way to go though, so I'm sure more people will creep into gold, silver and bronze over the next week and a half.

Despite the awkward start setup, this is a great little TT.

I'm still turning as I'm coming to the line and straightening out as I come up to it. I'm trying to get the throttle down and have it angled to the line as early as possible, rather than slide through - as that's where you bleed off the speed.
Well done! Mega-time right there,
Congrats 😁, we now expect a top 10 though 😁🤣🤣🙏🙏
I'm trying!!!

Jesus Christ I have no chance at rally TT. It feels so.. random for me. I love DR2.0 and am alright at it but I never liked dirt stuff in this game, have never understood it, and a bunch of laps here now really hammer home that I don’t ‘get’ where I’m gonna gain the time.

That said, I did manage to improve my Le Mans time to be back in gold! Don’t want to spend more time on it but I know I could go a bit lower.

How are you all tackling the chicane after the tarmac? What’s working for you?

Finding like I’m not sure where track limits generally are on parts of this track too. The right corner after the jump has gotten me often, and that chicane is just an unknown.

Much the same boat as @StevenSpiegel here.

Also, is it possible to get splits against my ‘record’ or the loaded ghost, rather than my PB in that ‘session’? Losing splits every time I do a restart is starting to irk me 🥲

Hi,

Ohhhhh what have I done? Despite my reservations and earlier comments - I entered the Catalunya TT.

"Advanced Muppetry" has struck me once more.🤪🤪🤪

Managed to get it in the 1:47:7xx area after plenty of red laps.

Much studying and watching all of your ( Incredibly helpful!!! ) videos.
I fear that this one will bring to an end my long gold streak though. Bummer!

Best of luck to you all who are struggling to gold this one. As our well known, and much loved, fellow combatant would say...

ATTACK!!!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

Not a bad lap at all!

The forlast chicane, I think your rotation point is to late, you can better compromise a little entry speed there and be on throttle before the actual turn, I have a slightly different line there what seems to work for me .
Just try to get that weighttransfer done a little earlier

If you nail that chicane your definitely in!

I wasn't going to bother with this one, but ended up giving it a go. Currently down to 46.677, which is just barely gold. I think I still have 2 or 3 tenths in me, but anything beyond that is going to be tough.

I had another crack at Le Mans yesterday but I could not improve. I don't understand. Le Mans is one of my favourite tracks and I know it really well so how the hell am I suffering soo much? I thought I knew everything about it but I've been proven wrong this time. Every gear shift, every turn, every brake application and every throttle input has to be perfect everywhere. The accuracy required is not easy to achieve on a controller because it's soo hard to know exactly how much has to be done within such a small tolerance window. A lot of it is down to guesswork, so replicating the same results time and time again is difficult, especially on such a long track. Turn too little, you understeer off the track. Turn too much and you end up cutting the track or hitting the inside ripple strip too hard. The torque curve of the R92CP is not consistent due to the turbochargers, so getting your shift points right is key when the car is scrabbling for traction coming out of Tetra Rouge, Mulsanne Corner and Arnage. Then we have the issue with track limits. Either police them all the same way or don't bother with it. I shouldn't have to second guess myself all the time.
