TT-LM-Gr4-10laps-7-Huracan.jpg

New stint this time with the Lamooorghini Huracan. Following @Pesselles's ghost this time.

A tiny improvement on the best lap, but optimal 0.5s above my best optimal, and medium on 10 laps 0.001s above my 2 best, despite not having a single lap above 2:09

Thanks, I like this TT as you can see :D

As for the sector times, I managed to somehow improve my S1 time to, lets say, .950 average, I can do low .900s, I did a .885, .889 several times but that really only depends on the tricky right hander that leads to the straight, it's either too slow and the WR ghost walks away, or it's nice and early throttle and then invalidate the lap going wide. So it's literally the perfect timing on throttle input that makes the difference here. As for the S2, I believe ~.520-530 is the time, I did several high .4s in S2, so the split at the end of sector 2 is usually in the low .500s, sometimes high .400s.

And then we have the (for me) lap destructive hairpin, I usually nail it perfectly when my S2 split is average, but then cannot make up the lost time, or I go mega carefull if I have the high .400 S2 split and lose a bit of momentum, so it's usually 28.000 on a good lap, sometimes 27.9xx but not more than that is possible.

S4 is the most fun for me, double right hander is tricky, not the first part, but the second corner, you must enter it very very wide to create the angle for acceleration, but not too wide because you lose the rear if you clip the outside edge, then it's really the full throttle with a heavy cut of the inside curb, then heavy cut of the sausage (left wheel on the left side of the sausage), and the same goes for the last corner, like I said, early brake, create the angle, heavy cut and very early throttle in 4th to the line.

I didn't record my lap unfortunately, but if I push myself to do another session and improve, I'll upload the replay :)
Wow, on my PB lap my S1 was a 35.082 , so that's already a tenth right there?!
S2 was a 30.611.... ( makes 5.693 before Banky ) a high .4xx is fast there mate!,
S3 was a 28.262 and that's pure Banky-boy..... you got almost 3 tenth on me there alone?!

Very fast, and love to see your lap indeed! 💪💪

Weeell, you need to improve your banky boy for sure, 2 and a half tenths is a lot in just one corner, are you using second gear for entry and exit? If not, you should, very wide entry and massive sharp cut inside, full power at apex, you can be on the gravel actually with half a car on exit, won't hurt your time :D

Over to Nürburgring to begin that one tonight!
If you found this easy, please try to refrain from saying it 😅
Just kidding, good fun to you or nightmare 😅😅😅 I played 2x 3 hours and still no gold but I'm going to try to reapply this evening or tomorrow!

Greetings and salutations, @bliprunner! Grand Valley doesn't rank very high if you ask me but man, this S2000 drove like an absolute dream. Super lovely car (on a good choice of tyres). ~230 kms here, very pleased. Over to Nürburgring to begin that one tonight!

Yes, time to stop! Go to the Nords!

Nice car but wasn't keen on the tyre choice myself, no idea how I got that time other than perseverance.

I struggled for nearly an hour and almost 150 miles on the X2019 @ N24 one, but couldn’t beat my best. It’s not even a whole second off the silver threshold, but I am in the top 4.1k so I’m down, especially with the bronze prize being doubled to 500k credits. I’m off work today so I think the S2000 @ Grand Valley one will be a much less stressful experience.

New 10 laps stint with the Huracan, with a micro improvement.

How comes each time I arrive at T11 with 0.5s or more in blue, I manage to lose most of it in T11, and when I arrive with 0.5s in red there, I manage to gain most of it back...

Optimal a bit better than previous stint with Huracan, but still lesser than with the Genesis. Medium worse than previous stint.
3 red laps.

It's certainly not easy, very far from it. But it's easier than the Yaris at Catalunya RX at least, which was in line with my expectations. I got a scruffy gold lap in (which is more than I could say for the Yaris) but looking to at least go sub 20, the speed is definitely there but it of course goes without saying that it's difficult to string it all together.

The Nordschleife is always a pleasure but I'm so done with this tedious X2019. Man, I wish they'd retire this thing from the spotlight. It's time...

To answer your later question, I personally don't use TCS, nor CSA in this particular combo. Didn't try TCS, briefly gave CSA an attempt but not really enough due to lack of patience and energy. A friend of mine uses CSA relatively frequently though and he kept it on here as well and set a 6'16.626 tonight. I'd say it's something you better get used to as the car will feel different, whether it works or not is individual. But if you throw it on, put it at strong and keep it on for some decent time, see what you think. Or don't. No hopping back and forth, that'll be of no benefit.

Where are you now, timewise?

FINALLY. A short 15 minute session today got me where I wanted to be. Even after putting in so much time I still feel like I forget everything every lap. Nailing apexes, and gears, and managing wheelspin, and pushing into downforce over 6 minutes is exhausting! I wish I knew how many laps I threw away. It's probably in the hundreds!

I know there's 6:18s in me if I could just buckle down for one lap, but I think I might be done here. Very much hoping someone doesn't come in tomorrow and beat VQSs insane 6:10, but seeing as how the top ten bumps times into the 6:13s I doubt that will happen.

After the RB I quickly nabbed a gold with the S2000, and now it's time to "relax" into the Huracan at Maggiore.

I'm gonna do it lactose free though...

Was able to get in the seat over the weekend for one stint with the X2019 at the 'Ring. Insane lap and insane times. Got one more stint in today, and the best I could do was silver. Gold is not achievable in this one I'm afraid. Too many alien 'Ring specialists out there skewing the times I think :)

I had to stop there because I had completely forgotten about the Grand Valley TT with the S2000. I really enjoy this circuit. Ran a pretty long stint here tonight and was able to do much better. Pretty happy with this result in the top 1000. Doubt I can squeeze much more out of it.

Hopefully I'll have more time for GT7 as things calm down a bit around the holidays.

I don't generally use the TCS but i have to say that the CSA is useful for me when I don't have much time to play.

By which I mean that the CSA helps me push the throttel pedal faster without having to search for grip or lose control of the car, so i just concentrate on learning the track and the braking points.

But with this X2019 I still used CSA, TCS1 and ABS on weak (grazie @RB_Free)
with this last night I did 6'20.907 but i'm going to leave it there because like you, love the Ring but I hate this shuttle.

Had 15 minutes this morning and ran quite a few descent and faster sectors than before, i was to fast on going to 2nd in S1, you can realy push one i noticed now, so i had a few low .6xx before banky..... which still is a b*ch  , fastest was a .750 split before the last double righthander which i graciously bumped out of by hitting the orange salami the wrong way ......:lol:

Thanks for the tips mate

Yesterday I had the chance for a short, final stint with the S2000 but couldn't get near my PB. I fooled myself because I had switched my wheel in the meantime and needed some laps to dial in again. Still quite a good result for me as I may end within the Top 5.000 but it was good fun and I had the feeling that there was a faster lap possible for me.

Anyway, despite being late to the party, it is now time to moo-ve onto Lago Maggiore... 😀
