Hello guys,

I should be focusing on Spa to improve myself, but I couldn’t resist the appeal of novelty and this category of road cars.

I feel that the competition will be tough.

First session today and quite happy with the group shooting with our friends @manou @Jeje6410 @Pesselles ... even if it’s not going to last for me 😅

If I have as much time as I wish, I will try to correct some persistent errors in Spa (almost 5% of time lost in sector 2).

Les Combes - Malmedy - Rivage - Pouhon 😈 - Fagnes, it’s only for the brave.

Hats off, gentlemen.

Man I'm finding Atlanta tough.. Managed a 1:36:062 yesterday and today could not break 1:37! Gave up in the end.

Post a replay and ask for pointers - if you're willing to implement the coaching. This thread took me from a middle silver range with gold out of sight, to majority gold and a much improved driver.

Don't let the alien times posted distract you from the fact 150k people register a lap on average but only 10% achieve a gold time. This thread is the most welcoming thread to new people

I've been watching the videos and know where I am losing time but its not as easy as it looks to get each turn/section right without cocking up somewhere. I'll have another go tomorrow and if I get a decent time, will post a vid to see what pointers can be given for improvement.

Got started on the Spa TT last night. After 5 laps I thought I'd absolutely smashed it, found the rhythm and nailed a gold time; only to find out I was halfway through silver at 3.98%... I'm not sure why but this is a circuit where whenever I think I've done amazingly well I'm still ages off the top times. Need to try work out where I'm losing time against you fast guys!
Same here. I'm on a pad and I made it through eau rouge about 1 in 10 laps. And if I did and somehow didn't invalidate my lap on any of the other bajillion high speed zero margin for error corners I finished the lap feeling good but still not getting gold.

Finally did it after some frustration and hope that the aliens won't decide to have another go 3 hours before the deadline.
First post here. Started TTs not to long ago. Doing fairly good with (so far) 10 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze.
I like this one. 👌😅

I feel you. Even if I manage to memorize all breaking, turning and acceleration points I still struggle to consistently hit them.

I'm not sure if I'm going about this the wrong way there could be some sort of mental adjustment that would help me.

I suppose that my hand eye coordination and finger dexterity (I'm on a pad) just isn't that good.

Seriously. Post a video of a lap and we will all help you get there. The power of community in this place is wild. I used to be a guy who couldn't gold much. I've played this game since GT1 and never realized the level at which it could be played until I found this place. This forum, and this thread in particular has dragged me WAY up the board. I owe a huge part of that to this group of people. Many many many fantastic drivers in here most of whom are absolutely willing to offer support. Cheers 🍻

@crome found some! 😁
I'll await your .350 or something 🤣
Your wish is my command! 😜

now i only have to find some consistency on S2. PB lap with a bad S1 there my fastest of today was a .243 and this lap was a .320 but it's difficult to be "slide-consistent"
Your "bad" S1 is still faster than anything I've come up with, and your S3 is much better as well. So yeah, if you figure out S2 tomorrow, I'm toast 🤣

I'll get a video up tonight hopefully.

My wish?.....

Get back in the bottle you evil German Genie with your 0.93% 🤣🤣

nice time buddy!
And meanwhile mr miracle lap @Dolph Drago turned up with a .293 😡🤣

I had a little progression too this morning but it wasn't enough....🤣

this was with a S1 of I believe. 330 or something due to overshooting T1.... 🙄

Fastest S1 was a .184 🫣

Eventually a lap will stick hopefully 🤣🤣

Same story here... I did couple of ~.150 first sectors but then every single time I screw up the double right hander, especially the exit to the back straight which I still cannot understand. :boggled:
Exactly the same for me 🤣
Sometimes I have the feeling I have the same kind of exit with minimal understeer but it still makes a 2 tenths difference at the end of the backstraight, and when finally on a .5 before the chicane you miss your brakingpoint 🤣
