Honestly, what is this new time trial!?? In fact it’s already been worth it because the comments so far have cracked me up big time!
Had a quick go because I get the feeling setting an early time is pivotal here to getting a high placing. Never in my life have I been less enthused about being 7 thousands of a second off the world record! But here we go.
Was it fun? No. Will it hold for top 100? I’m praying!

lol...this one. I remember the last version of this last year being weirdly addictive on the wheel. But anyway, one lap on the controller this morning had me at 0.80%. Lap number three was this...I didn't need to change the controller sensitivity for this either. Just my usual 7. Full throttle and ride the yellow line baybeeeeee!
I'll maybe try the wheel at some point and see if there's another tenth there for me but ftmp I think that's done.

@ScottPuss20 I've been exactly where you are right now. Pushing our limits, finding those tenths, and climbing up in the leaderboards those are addicting things indeed. However there's a limit of how much we can dedicate ourselves to a game. Finding where the line is, is a wise thing to do.
Having said that and checking what the new TT is😁 ... See you guys next week then.

Nice time mate, and it's a perfect one!! It's very rare to see people clocking perfect times like this...amazing. I don't blame you though for quitting. If you're not having fun and getting stressed and overworked during the TT, then it's best to stop and not worry about the gold medal. Honestly, are those 2M credits worth fighting for?
Actually if the TT was set at Tsukuba, the kart challenge might have been a little easier for some players. You did good mate, take care.

man, Dunning Kruger is in full effect over on Reddit in any thread relating to the online TTs! lol. So many people stating with complete confidence factually incorrect information! "You need to be within 2% of the world record and everyone who gets gold ahead of you pushes you farther out of gold." I mean...all you need to do is look at the TV screen and you'll see there's no "2%" anywhere there! It seems like a lot of people have a really tough time understanding how these things work...and it's just not that complicated.

TT just as ridiculous as last year’s with the Chaparral VGT.

I share your opinion: Here the first skill is not your speed on the track, but your ability to record it before others. All players must return as soon as possible if you are trying to improve your stats. Already 4,250 players in the same tenth as the current WR.
For my part, a session of 10 laps to establish a time .
Not really want to devote time for steering inputs worth 1 or 2 hundredths.
Intermediate ranking 30th at input... for the next 2 weeks, I would not go back to see where it will end. That’s the challenge I’m set for.
Edit: I still salute the beautiful livery.

But to be honest before reading TT threads at GTP and @half_sourly Scrolls of Wisdom I also thought that % threshold for medals reffered to position and not time reference. I wonder what % of TT participants (will we be 200k like at BH in the kart?) will get gold on this one, 50 % ? more? can't wait to see @half_sourly 's stats in two weeks

looks like the previous version of this TT (Chaparral VGT at Daytona Tri-Oval) had a 52.7% gold ratio. I'd expect something similar in this one.Got gold on the first attempt
