Time Trial no. 71

Hackers - very poor show.

But - As Time Trials tend to be You vs the track to beat a target time I found the 65 second time to be - just out of reach in my old S2000 tuned by some Finnish tuners way back in 2010 or something.

The car felt pretty touchy... but once I'd dialled the brakes back from 6/4 to a more Human (Comfort Tyre Happy) 3/2 it was still a very edgy car to stick to the lines I wanted.

I did it in GSX first lap and quit. For the heck of it I watched a replay of the third place car in a Schwimwaggen. It is crazy looking, doing 230 mph down the front straight in that car. Need to go back to supplying the car for the TTs.

...yeah right!! ...thought I'd check the board before making a lap and??? ..what??? Loaded the ghost lap for the heck of it .. he was in turn one before I hardly got off the line and....that was enough. Said to myself, I need to go to GTP and see what some realistic times are....

I'm also disapointed in PD's inability or unwillingness to control the hackers.
And I don't mind running a TT with a spec car once in awhile or even every other TT. But, I don't want to give up useing tuned cars in TT's for the remainder of gt5 just to control the hacks.
PD put a ban notice up months ago and should be enforcing it but, PD has not shown anyone if it has teeth or not, it has become the proverbial paper tiger and the hackers have made a mockery of them by overwelming the leaderboards. Sure I'd like to see it cleaned up but if PD doesn't mind being dumped on, oh well, that's on them.
Considering nothing PD or the hacks do can change my lap times I still very much enjoy compeating in these TT's and I'll continue trying to drive the wheels off my cars 'till gt6 comes out.

I'm at 1:01.929 in a gsx-r/4 it's on share if anyone wants to give it a go. #171 and on the leaderboard for about the next 10 or so minutes.

Ran my stock m3 gtr and broke 1.04.889. Upgraded my drivetrain and got a 1.04.660. Now onto the suspension. Did my first run with the gsx and got 1.04.05.

I'm pretty sure it can be done legitimately by a few of the top drivers. Its early yet, give it a few days and I bet a legit sub 1 minute will be ran. I only see a few of the top players participating so far, and they are not too far off now.

This is a fun one to use many different cars. Lot's of possibilities. I've golded with an NSX, a Lotus, and a BMW. Will try some others shortly, specifically some 4wd. The mid engine cars are way to slippery for the CS tires.

Pretty funny though. Try watching the schwimwagen replay. It looks like a formula bathtub grinding along the road and when braking the driver looks like a granny looking for a corner.

Anyway, I did it in (unsuprisingly) GSX-R in 1:01:351

Well, if you know that for a fact, then that's on you. I don't recall anything of the sort myself. Doesn't mean he is cheating on this one though, but who knows. I can speak for Amo though as being a legitimate racer as he is always up at the top of the leaderboards and have never heard of him using hacked cars before to cheat so that is where, in my opinion, the cutoff is for legit times should start, either his time or L_E_O_N_I_S' s. That's just how I'm seeing it for now.

Isn't though? I myself am just competing with the people on my friends list as I know they are all legit. If it wasn't for all the hacked times though on the leaderboard, I'd be around the top 100 in my estimation. My time right now is 1'01.622.....still messing with my tune on the GSX-R/4 Concept '01. Still leaving a lot of time out there, just need to string it all together.

Yeah, i know that for fact. I used his ghost at Motegi, and he was using Sports Hard tires.
And yes, Amo is my team mate and everyone knows that he doesn't need to cheat. He's very fast and knows very good how to setup all the cars

You actually do have to count to make an estimation, if not it is just a wild guess. So I'm going to assume that cargo made his estimation by adding his assumed cheats to the number of known cheats to come up with his estimation.

Call it whatever you want: estimation, guess, etc, its all the same thing as I did not say anything to be exact. If you actually count, then its not an estimation, now is it? Don't really see why you had to make a big deal about it anyway.

Easy to take the first 36 off the table, little more difficult with the rest. It would be impossible to estimate as you have no idea who is cheating and who is not, just curious as to how he came up with his number. If 20 people made the top 150 in the two hour then that is possible.
