Hello, I was wondering if you guys could give me any tips for launching in RWD cars. I get a lot of wheel spin which cost me on the 1/4 at times. Any suspension tips i would be greatful thanks i am also using a DS3 controller.

Long first gear like one that has a top speed of >59mph,a soft rear end,low front damper extension, low camber and low toe angles. And do check your engines peak torque area,I launch my car at those revs then back off the throttle once the clutch is in.

As articzap said, there are several threads about this, we know because we have written those things ourselves. Try looking as the suspension threads and transmission threads.

clutch drop in 2nd or 3rd gear. nothing like smoking out the cars behind you on the start.

For example, i will drop the clutch in the TVR Speed 12 while in 3rd gear. In that scenario the car not only out accelerates most of the competition (aside from AWD cars) but it also smokes the tires until around 110mph... which lets everyone know that your car is the business.

Hmm how do you mean, you have clutch and steering wheel? Because i know that those people that has wheel with pedal and clutch and control the amount of power they give to the car, that is slipping the clutch so the tires dont spin...

If you just mean release the handbrake etc, then you might as well make the first gear long enough, because the more gears you use, the closer geared transmission you get = faster acceleration.

I'm pretty sure he means, He revs with the clutch disengaged (pedal down) then he dumps the clutch (releases the pedal rapidly, engaging the clutch) then smokes his tires getting off the line in a higher gear outpacing most cars and making a smoke show at the same time.

TT3AZ do you have a Speed 12? If so have you tried setting it up for first gear launch?? You would likely end up with half the gears off the page if you managed it (and likely the rest of your gears out of sync) because it is far too powerful to set up in first gear. Second gear would be a better bet, but I launch in 3rd with my tune and have only been beaten once with my setup. First gear launch is preferable with most cars but with some its just impractical
