When you participate in 10% of the race, and still manage to divebomb and door most of your fellow competitors, something needs to be done.

I understand, but sometimes you have to do things you don't want to due to prior commitments. Just saying, don't sign up for a series if something as petty as "Oh I'll just not race because my friends asked me to hang out last minute" will deter you from racing.

And that's exactly what trobes is alluding to. You do that too much in VRR and I'll pull out the banhammer. Trobes is nice, I'm not.

Honestly I have to agree with Clark, but only to an extent.

If I have friends that want to hang out on the evening of a race there's a good chance I'd offer my well wishes and not take part in that event. However, it becomes a problem when it's more common than not and it starts affecting others who are partaking in the race.

There's also be a timeframe were I can sufficiently inform the series director of my absence rather than just simply not showing up, which may also spark issue. I wouldn't just say "nope" five minutes before an event I've confirmed my participation for, only in extreme circumstances would that be acceptable.
