I think next race people (me included) should try and be a bit more calm and patient when fighting in a pack. Diving up the inside of fighting cars will never end well, but Monza is wider so I am hoping for a cleaner race.

Carracer, I am proud of my transmission.

Just curious, did you use a drag racing setup (tranny and final gear trick)? I think I have my ford setup with a very nice gear box using the mentioned setup tips. It like the corner exit. I just lack speed down the straight. I will have that fixed soon.

I do believe I am using a drag racing method, but I set each gear up fdor certain corners more than anything.

I had my gears spaced for cape ring I wasn't planing on racing so I didn't bother.
I think I could have been .2-3 faster with better gearing.

Great racing tonight besides getting a few punts it was ok and race 1 again was epic .

Btw I did this in the race room after it was changed to Monza.

Not ignoring. All this data is useful to me. If there's 1 thing I can confirm is that if the VW does have that big a gap it would be handicapped in some way for next season.

Paul, what exact stats are your VW? I'm interested in the spec as your so much more quicker than me and tom and Sumo who've run our cars into the ground... could you PM me them?

Again you say the VW was 1 sec slow at AR but thats not true I got to within .2-.4 of my PB with it and Sumo was 5th in race 1 quali then got a podium in race 3.

Also no offence but im unwilling to give away my setup to a car which is so fast, sorry.

(If your asking for its performance specs yes ill show you that.)

You know we had this in V8's everyone saying the corvette was too fast. We eventually realised it wasnt.

The thing is this is 7 mph faster on the straights and 1.5 secs quicker than anything else...

Chris ill give you a setup as im very happy to help you out if only to get you competitive .
