Despite being so sure about using the Mazda in my campaign, I will also buy all the cars just to make sure none of them are clearly above the others. Even half a second gap that appears regularly, is too much in my book.

Knowing my luck, I end up with the faster car and every time I, or someone else in that car place near the front, I will be made to feel like I wouldn't have made it without the car.

Edit: Also, I am guessing it's the Mazda as it seems to have not been given the Chassis Weight Reduct 3.

Mazda surprised with its speed despite being heaviest. It appeared to suffer on straights but fly through corners....

I'm just going to pick whichever car feels nice to drive. Going to have to adjust my driving style for this though.

I just got 53.6 in Volvo, and Ford always was slightly quicker in Season 3 over a lap. Funny when I tested Mazda I got 1 lap once that was 0.4 quikcer than any I had ever done...

After running around 10 laps per car you get a good idea, at Cape its about consistency and getting the right line.

Is the British Racing Green, from the premium Jaguar XK coupe '07, or the standard XJ220?

Hmm, mine is metallic one I chose from my paint selection. Wasn't anticipating a team mate you see

I'd send you a shade but I only had one, search your metallic paints for a British Racing Green. If you can't find one i'll send you something else.

EDIT: It's called 'Racing Green Metallic' actually.

I can also add that Lotus is 0.2 behind me in an identical car, but mine is set up and broken in. And I had an extra 0.2 seconds on top at some point.

Also, it says in the first post there is a 1250kg weight limit, yet the Mazda weighs 1293kg. Have I missed something?

No that is correct. Mazda is 43kg heavier. I kept it like that as during testing mazda was fastest for me... Also Mazda is below weight limit if Stage 3 is applied I believe...

OK, now some positive advance - 13 lap race in the Mazda, it felt quite consistent except for some errors especially in turns 3 and 7/8, but got a 53.145 So it looks like I'm not coming back for Ford even though it's really quick here.

Still, I'll continue testing the other cars to get a clear view on what's gonna happen in general.

Ok I have tested all four and this is my verict.

Ford ST. Probably the fastest car but very understeery.
Volvo. Probably the best mix of user friendlyness and 'fast-ness', I think this will be the car to beat.
Mazda. The most pointed and precise car, lacks on straights though.
Honda. A nice car to drive, but feels a bit loose. (Could be tweaked to be more precise.)

Despite the fact I set my fastest lap in the Volvo, I tihnk I will be using the Atenza Sport this season. It feels very nice to drive, looks lovely and I have a certain soft spot for Mazdas as my Dad currently owns two. Ofcourse, I will need to crosscheck it with my partner neljack.

I agree with this, I think Honda is around 0.2-.0.4 seconds a lap quicker now by the way with the 15kg weight break.

Racing mediums, new Rear Wing on the Mazda, and slight change in drivetrain parts. And fuel use / tyre wear off.

Other than that no, you can update the Season 3 cars to S4 spec.
