I was very lucky in both races, first one because Snow spun it, taking Joe out at the end of lap 2, and in the 2nd race I somehow managed to avoid the 5 car crash on the first lap and got a big gap to Snow and Joe who were my main rivals at the track. Oh, and I didn't notice at the time, but looking at the replay the grids were wrong for Race 2, all the guys who had left in-between races were at the front

Haitch, I presumed as black screen went off moment you sent it you were ok? No-one else called for a Red Flag?

Why would you think that? I messaged to tell you to wait.

I had to quit the game and come back.

When we've had that in past, 99% of times EVERYONE has loaded at once.

And fyi, bye bye to Nurb 24hr, was tough, but I already knew its replacement early this week.

No worries we can settle this in a better way in a few weeks, Toca Ashigaru. ;)

Monza next should be ok there Volvo likes straights.

Looking forward to Monza, after only 4 points tonight.

Today was a zero-sum event in terms of the Indy Championship for me, I was in front of Chris in R1 and behind him in R2. :indiff:

So after Joe quitting, does that make me officially locked in?

I don't think joe has officially quit. If Tom had finished R2 he would have been locked in regardless.

Mixed bag for me in the 2 races. Didn't do a good lap in qualifying, went off at Bergwerk and had to climb up the long straight with no speed at all, so could have been on pole or close. Nevertheless, second wasn't a bad place to start.

Started fine, managed to stay directly behind Spurgy and stayed there for most of the lap. Was close to trying a couple of times, but thought better of it, so as not to make a mess. On the straight back I got enough of a tow to get by him and we matched each other for a couple of corners on the GP track until I settled into P2 again. In the midst of all this close fighting suddenly Joe was there and ready to pounce any moment that one of us would make a mistake. I had a little off early in the lap, but managed not lose a lot of time, and got close enough to Spurgy before the straight so I could have taken the lead like in lap 1 ... only to get the left rear tire on the grass coming on to the straight which sent me wildly spinning. Unfortunately Joe couldn't avoid me so Spurgy was free to survive the straight in the lead and finish for the win.

Race 2, well, I didn't see much of race 2. I spun 3 times in lap 1, mostly out of my own fault. And the darker it got, the less I knew where I was going. Seems like I rely too much on markers that are only visible when it's light on the track. Disastrous drive, I will try to forget that race as soon as I can.

Looking forward to Monza, it will be interesting, because it seems like the Volvo has an advantage in acceleration, but the Mazda has better top speed. We'll see who comes out on top there...

I'm such a badass, I didn't race and maintained my 16th place in the standings

Ya I am wondering about that. I drop a whole crap load of spots and you stayed in 16th.

James and Jakob both did not start races. Honestly looks like field is breaking 3 parts.

Spurgy, then a small group of midfield runners, and then around 11th downwards.

Hopefully a MUCH bigger attendance for Monza next week. Hard to think after last night we are already 1/3 of the way through the season.

Suppose i'll also reveal now that one of the longest serving and most successful TOCA cars, the Volvo C30 R-Design, is not going to be back in 2013.
