The 2nd driver has been signed today, he is well known in the Toca paddock and is a previous winner. The driver that has been announced is Akmuq. Paul had this to say. "We are very happy to have got such a good driver alongside me at Pirtek Racing and we are hoping for a strong season in our Pirtek CR-Z's."

The runner-up of TOCA Season 5, Carbonox (also known as Pingu) and 3rd place finisher, DrifterJoe, have decided to join up for the next season due to both preferring the same car (Mazda Atenza) and because both are such active and fast that they are definitely contenders for title in both the drivers' and teams' championship. The team's name has not yet been announced, but at least it's certain that these two are going to combine forces to improve from where they left off last season.

After being asked about whether there would be team orders or not, Carbonox replied "No comment". This question may be quite important when the season gets underway though, as the two have become known as quite fierce rivals throughout the season, engaging in multiple duels across the different tracks. DrifterJoe generally led the penguin early in the season, but Carbonox gained the upper hand in some of his better tracks, like Spa and Laguna Seca.

Extreme Racecars can't wait for the season to begin

We're looking forward to start racing again an are so happy to have a place in the championship to begin. All though we aren't locked in, we are expecting a top 12 finish with at least one car, two cars would be awesome.

Car choice isn´t completed for me, will test the others too (Volvo and Mazda).
But at the moment the Infiniti is way upfront (probably because it´s the only N/A car).

It feels good.

I can be nearer to the ultimate pace in the BMW than I ever could in the Civic.

Testing with Paul and it was around 2nd to 4th. For sure I don't think it's quickest, I was 0.8 seconds quicker at Top Gear with my Volvo in shakedown testing.

I believe the suggestion by Furi was to make it faster actually.

The BMW is lacking power down the straight. But it just feels nicer to drive a RWD

Correct. Paul tested the BMW for a long while and it is not fastest.
