How should pre-qualifying be for TOCA7?

  • Keep the TOCA6 Quali Race format, it's fine.

  • Run a regular quali session instead for positions 13 downwards.

Test times around Motegi :)
Volvo (For comparison): 1.26.8
Honda: 1.27.0
Mazda: 1.27.1
Infiniti: 1.27.4
BMW: 1.27.7
Suzuki: 1.28.4
Audi: 1.28.9

Fuji:
Mazda: 1.43.5
Honda: 1.43.7
Infiniti: 1.44.1
BMW: 1.44.7
Suzuki: 1.45.7

Will update as I get more times in :)

I am considering taking ECU off of the Infiniti, and putting Engine Stage 3 on the Audi. Feel free to test them.

Retested the Infiniti with and without the ECU, got down to a 1.27.0 without the ECU and messed up the first sector with the ECU but I reckon a 1.26.9 is possible, in other words not a great difference. Then got DC'd from the lobby so I'll carry on later :)

I reckon the bmw should get ecu. It has very little top end punch.

OP updated, severe errors in Suzuki and Mini specs :ouch:, sorry to Sakery and Atin.

On a completed related topic:

Audi gets Engine Stage 3, may get weight stage 1.

managed a 1:39.3 which was good, the car feels a lot better on the medium tyres as i'm quicker by 2 seconds on mediums, still 6 tenths off spurgy's best timea

As it stands MAZDA, BMW, HONDA, INFINITI, and SUZUKI specs are frozen and staying as they are.

MINI may get weight break.
VOLKSWAGEN may get a small power boost.
AUDI has received a power boost and may get a weight break.

did anyone test the suzuki tonight?

Spurgy did a bit of testing with it, as I tested the BMW and the Audi.

He tested the Infiniti, and we agreed that those three cars need something to get more acceleration, because that's what they lacking.

For comparison, my top speed with the three cars I tested before leaving the lobby:

Fuji:
CR-Z: 250km/h
BMW: 240km/h
Audi: 239km/h

And the CR-Z could make the turns 2-5km/h slower than the BMW and the Audi could make.

Bear in mind the natural tyre wear advantage a RWD and 4WD have over a FWD.

We tested at Indy :)
Basically what Mich said, the Honda, Mazda and Infiniti are all on the same pace, and the Suzuki, BMW and the Audi could all do with a boost, Suzuki around the corners and BMW/Audi on the straights. But the Suzuki can't be boosted anymore so there really is no point in picking it :)

You can always take more weight from the Suzuki (its only on Stage 1, and without Carbon Hood)

Suzuki has carbon hood and cars need to meet a minimum weight of 1000kg. I updated the spec list on the OP tonight.
