How should pre-qualifying be for TOCA7?

  • Keep the TOCA6 Quali Race format, it's fine.

  • Run a regular quali session instead for positions 13 downwards.

Suzuki has carbon hood and cars need to meet a minimum weight of 1000kg. I updated the spec list on the OP tonight.

I saw the updated OP, and it doesn't mention the carbon hood for the Suzuki...
And its the first time I read anything about minimum weight for the Suzuki. Or does this affect any other car?

Cleaning up OP gradually. With the weight reduction its 981kg. Ballast required to bring it up 1000kg.

You could take out the Front Aero A from the Infiniti because I don't seriously know from where you saw that a concept car would be able to use any aero part. :lol:

@Chris, Spurgy and I tested at Fuji.

Mind blown. Will tear up and fix thursday. :banghead:

Spurgy 777
We tested at Indy :)
Basically what Mich said, the Honda, Mazda and Infiniti are all on the same pace, and the Suzuki, BMW and the Audi could all do with a boost, Suzuki around the corners and BMW/Audi on the straights. But the Suzuki can't be boosted anymore so there really is no point in picking it :)

Couldnt agree more about the bmw.

I didn't do any testing yet, but I bought all the cars and configured them yesterday. One question about the Suzuki: It says in the OP that it should have exactly 305hp with all upgrades. Mine had 314 straight out of the dealership with tuning parts and oil change.

So, no matter what configuration you guys have been testing it with, either there's room for making it faster with the run-in, or will it be restricted to 305...?

I just restricted mine to 305, I wouldn't trust the OP too much

Btw, about the Mini...I have never seen stage tuning have so little effect on power. It costs something like 50,000 credits and you get about 10hp more. :odd:

Infiniti Concept will probably be my pick :D Furi saw how she annihilates at the start 👍
And she doesn´t have that horrible Understeer the G35 has (although she still has some Understeer but it´s not lap-time-killing).

For the Mini: Drop her. Really I can´t see how to make her faster.
1:42mid at Indy <--> 1:39.6 Infiniti
=> huge gap maybe it´s different at tighter Tracks but I would still question that.

Scirroco:
VW needs a boost too. high 40´s at Indy. She is just missing some powwer :D

That are the 3 I already build up, will test them all but Mini is already out (will still test her with new specs though).

@snow: 183bhp before and ~198bhp after Engine Stage3 => [lil jon] What !! [lil jon/]

Didn't work..

On the bright side it may be light enough in that form to be fast.. :P
