Extreme Racecars & Team KR-Sports News Update.
The owner of Extreme Racecars & Team KR sat down with me today to talk about the coming season of TOCA. Here's what he had to say & what we found out.
For those of you who have been wondering what car the team will be using in their second season of TOCA it's the BMW Concept 1 Series tii.
Here's what James had to say about running the BMW this season.
"I'm very excited about running the BMW this season. We had a good first season in the Volvo. I am hopeing to maybe get a few wins this season."
The team has signed 4 drivers as of right now but will be firing one driver before the season starts. It has not been said who the driver getting fired might be.
We asked James about this and here is what he had to say. "We have signed G. Korting, P. Duke, M. Straight,& D. Xaevor. I have been notified by race officals that I cannot have 2 drivers on my feeder team so I will be firing one driver."
If you have been curious about James' schedule this season he did take some time to tell us what his schedule is gonna be. "My schedule is gonna be very short.
I am only gonna run Cape Ring,& Laguna Seca. I have reasons for running both races.
The reason I am gonna run Cape Ring is because it is 2 days before my best friends birthday.
Laguna Seca is 3 days before my birthday. I hope to qualify for both races & hopefully win one of the races on those days."
We caught James in the BMW with a very odd test car color on it. So we asked him about the car.
He said "This is the #50 Hotwheels BMW Concept 1 Series tii. Extreme Racecars has signed a 3 season spnsorship deal with Hotwheel."
James was kind enough as usual to let us take some pictures of the car while he tested it at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
