Look, a ripoff I found at DA.
It's Don's Impreza that the n00b stole.

If it is stolen in anyway he deserves to be nutered.

But it doesn't look like plain stealing to me, comparing the suby with don's. It's more like a a case of severe damage on his brains center of creativity. It's possible he used dons as base, but everything is redone in one way or another.

[edit] If he used it as base, would that be considered a theft? I feel yes.

Personally I wouldn't feel ripped of if someone gave me cred for the base, I know since it happened with the 240 I did a month ago and that was exactly the feeling I got when he didn't mention were he got it. Just give me some cred and then you can do what the hell you want with it.

Nah he just used the same photo as i did for the Scoob, not exactly the etiquette that i follow personally (i don't think using the same base pics as other tooners is correct etiquette as it encourages unnecessary competition), but nothing wrong with it really. The Mustang is a completely different pic :P

I know him anyway from photochop.net, it's not a problem.

Good to hear. I guess that's the beauty with such a small community as the tooning scene constitutes, practically everyone knows everyone, at least through a mutual acquaintance.

Ah, ok. My bad :P

After watching your amazing pieces of art (and due to too much free time lately) I decided to give it a try. Well, It's not complete yet but here's a wip.

As you can see, I haven't done the rims yet and I need to correct some spots on shading. That pic is half of the original, so flaws on that are actually twice as bad :). The linework is jaggy and shading is pretty poor, but because this is my first "vector", I forgive myself and will do better next time :D.

Please criticize and comment, any tips would be nice too.

Woah, nice. Maybe afterwards, you'll try your hand at a DB9-R?

Yay I finished my first vector (well, not really a vector, done in Photoshop) But here it is!

I'm satisfied with it now. Credit to donbenni about the tutorial, that became very handy! 👍

I'm a huge Aston Martin fan, so you can be sure I'll try to do a DBR9 some day!

Please criticize and comment, any tips would be very welcome :)

Comm: WOW! for a first vecor that is pretty darn good!
crit: too many straight edges! try to take more time on your lines and use more points so as to get a better curve

A question to the AI users here:
I've entered a conest were I'm making a logo, but one of the rules are to sample the text you're using. How the heal should i do that when using brush?
Help massively appreciated!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! :) Summer-holiday starts after this week, so I'll have plenty of free-time so I'll be making (or at least trying to) more of these.

At least it's interesting..

But the wheels look damn hot!

I started to play with a.. *cannot believe it* freakin Soopra tonight. As the fan I am of 4 door sedans this wasn't a choice I'd normally do but for some reason I liked the original.. And this time I'll do the polished lip reflections. :)
