Top Gear - Show being aired 22nd November 09. Updated with pics post 75!

So I've been invited to go to the Top Gear recording on Wednesday 18th November 09.

If you're not already aware Top Gear operate a 50/50 male female divide in ticket allocation. My girlfriend, Mum, Sister cannot make it so I need to find a female who would like to gain entry. I'm going with a friend and his girlfriend. We're a nice friendly bunch and will meet them at the recording studio, will provide all details if someone is interested.

Alternatively if any male members are having a sex change in the next few days that should also be ok.

If you know anyone who would be interested please let me know.

Not too sure, I'm phoning the Top Gear offices today to make sure I'll be ok without a female partner. I can't imagine them turning someone away. Either that or find an escort for the day.

Will do. Expect to see hundreds of photos. Going to take something GTP related and photograph it at random locations on the Top Gear set. Also going to see if I can get one of the presenters to hold a GTP sign and get a photo.

Should also mention that the ticket has now gone, my girlfriend managed to wangle the time off work. I did tell her she would be crazy to miss it.

That was actually quite convincing. Looks like I have a taker for Wednesday but nothing is confirmed. Just been looking on Cafepress UK at the T-shirts and mousemat. Only thing is the express delivery is £8 and doesn't guarantee next day delivery. Might have to take a gamble.

I don't think it'll make it in time. Cafepress still produce all of their apparel in the US (last time I had a package from them it came from Louisville, Kentucky), so there's no way you'd get it by Wednesday morning

...and I think Express is a frankly ridiculous £35 too for a t-shirt.

My advice is to order one with the £5 standard delivery, then pop down to Tesco to buy a value white T-shirt and some iron-on transfer paper for a quick and dirty mockup to wear on Wednesday

They do, but as far as I can see it's just an extra address that automatically switches everything to sterling. They still make everything in the US, I think.
