Top Speed in a car

Ok here goes,

I love to drive fast when the opportunity and safety allow for it.
my top speed in a production car is 162mph on highway 5 in Central California solo by myself....
car had more in it but cars were approaching fast, most likely 1/2 mile away but at that speed closing speed is scary.
My biggest concern was not me but what the others cars might do. LIKE PANNIC!

Car - 192'ish MPH (in my uncs GT2)

We got to that speed on the speed contests in Texas (when they close off this looooong stretch of highway in the desert). They let one car go at a time with intervals and the object is to get to the finish line as fast as possible (time wise). Some cars get to 220 MPH .

180mph once in my Tuscan down the motorway after chasing a mercedes CLK 55 AMG i overtook it and went flat out but eventually slowed down becuase of traffic ahead.

I'll be completely honest. 182km/h in my Civic. I could have gone faster but there was too much traffic.


That was when I was driving the car alone.


In my friends car (he was driving, I was shotgun) 1990 RX-7 Turbo II: 215km/h

I guess I havent had that many opportunities living in the big city. Oh, well.

147 in my dads g35. thats all it had, it eas at the top of 5th with no more gearing left. but...speedometers r very innacurate at those speeds.

140 mph in a 35mph zone in the Accord and about 220 mph in a Porsche on I-10 and 235<---THATS SUPPOSED TO BE 135 SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE... mph on a motorcycle!

When I was young and stupid, I had a 4 speed HQ ute with a very warm 350 chev out to about 250kmh indicated. That was, on reflect, pretty stupid.

I've had the Sube (Liberty RX/Legacy GT) out to 210kmh (again indicated - I would think about 200kmh from the speedo error I've seen at 110kmh) - felt pretty well the same as it does at 110kmh - must be that rear wing (pfft...).

Ive been 210kmh in a Corvette.
We were going along the highway in 4th at 100, he dropped it in 3rd and floored it and within a few seconds, we were doing 210 kmh but he backed off when the bloody radar went off

Ah, I'm not too sure. But if you join a car club, then they'll have club days and stuff like that. Its a far better alternative to street racing.

150km/h in my uncles friends modded SS, he said he's had it to 276km/h but the limiter cut in, my valiant has a top speed of 160km/h (first car in oz to be able to do 100mph standard)

130-135mph in my Chevy 1500. I don't the exact mph, because the dash only goes to 85, but I was racing a MR2 and said according to the guages, we were flirting in between those numbers.

SS, I cant think of more cars with the letters SS after their name. Dont you realize that when you just say SS, people have in mind about 15 to 30 cars you might have been in. You might as well say nothing.

There is only one (I think) production bike that can get to that speed and its very expensive and you have to be a very experienced rider to ride it...

well actually the road is a 6 lane (3 each way) road that crosses most of AZ so It's waaaay longer than 24 miles. and the speed limit goes from 50 to 35 because it passes past a retirement community (they all drive golf carts thats why it's so low) anyway it was early in the morning and it was a V6 Accord EX with some mods on it... I used to have a stock 2.2L 4 cyl EX and that only went 112 so I got the V6
