That SS thing, he's from Australia so i'm guessing a Commodore SS (must be an older version? VL?)

Ive been 130, hoping to top that these school holidays

Motorway driving is sooooooo boring at 100, so its good to up the pace and look out for cops at the same time

275Km/h (around 170Mph) on the back of my Kwack... Fast enough for me :mischievous:

edit: Wonders if this count as the Thread said "in a car" :odd:

A little OT - Don't you have some insane laws regarding speeding in Malaysia ? :odd:

I used to have a stock 2.2L 4 cyl EX and that only went 112 so I got the V6 :embarrassed:

A 6 lane road that crosses most of AZ, and its speed limit is 50mph?:odd: That's stupid. It should be 85, or something.

Was your 2.2L an auto? I know a kid with a '90 5 speed, and we've got that stock som***** up to an indicated 127mph without going downhill.

No. I am underaged(just a few months more to go).
I usually drive my father's car after I wash it and its in a neigbourhood so it's quite dangerous to drive at 80km/h actually

170 km/h shotgun in a cavalier. Could've and would've gone faster but a speed governor stopped us.

I myself have done 140 km/h in a Chevy Astro, beat that.

Are you insulting the Astro? Contrary to popular belief, those things do have power and can really move. It's just that the people who drive it are not usually into going fast, ie the speed limit.

Naw, just worked on enough of em, an the thought of anyone actually driving this vehicle scares me

Like I said it's full of old people who drive golfcarts most of em are snow birds anyway so I don't know why it's so low but most people don't go that speed and the police don't seem to care.... anyway yeah the 95 was an auto... I hated that car but i had to share it with someone who didn't know how to drive a manual...

lucky mom didnt pull the plug on your driving

It would be kinda hard for her to do that when she almost fried the MPV's trans attempting to set the fully loaded MPV land speed record. :)

Plus my mom knows that I can control the car fine, and my whole family speeds excessively, so it's no problem.

speed kills

Master: It only kills when you don't know how to harness and take care of it. We have never cause an accident, ever, and we have never been involved in a high speed accident/incident or anything, and it's not like we go blowing down the road recklessly, we actually speed in a controlled manner where speeding can safely take place.

Liquid: What year/model MX-5 Miata? That sounds pretty damn fast for a Miata , but I believe it. Tell us details!

My point is simple young man...

If you wish to kill yorself, then do so by yourself...
Show some respect for others around you an drive like most responsible adults do... SAFELY

You tread a dangerous path with your thinking, unfotunately others will suffer, as an result of your actions...

So you are saying that my dad whose been driving for nearly 35 years and has never caused an accident yet has gone well over double the speedlimit is suddenly gonna wreck? Sorry, but I don't see that ever happening.

We have limitations(atleast I think we do ;) ), and there's never been a time where we ever lost control of the car at high speeds(there's been several times of going over an icy bridge when there's snow on the road going like 45 and we started to slide around(Probe GTs have wide tires which suck on snow and ice), but to my knowlage there's never been a full spin out wreck or anything...well my mom use to have a old Capri, and the back end was light as hell, and on her way to work one day(this was all before my time BTW), she hit a patch of ice, slid off into the grassy median but then regained control and made it back on the highway, no damage done(except a huge scare)). Also, since my dad is a Mazda Tech, all of our cars are kept in mint driving condition(a few have rust spots, those are 14 yr old+, and they've gone though STL winters), so we've never had a highspeed mechanical failure(I take that back...well sorta...my mom had a Firebird back in the '70s, and going down the highway it caught fire. She didn't wreck though, just pulled onto the shoulder and jumped out).

Speed only kills if you crash. We don't crash. Even if we did, we wouldn't kill anyone. And it's not like every time we drive we do 120+ down the highway, we normally drive like 10-15 over the limit on the highway, no problems, and we get to our destination faster. We have never been pulled over for highway speeding either(short story: Subaru has training schools in Naperville Ill, right outside of Chicago. Last year my dad(he's a Mazda and Subaru Tech) went to one such thing(they have them so often, it's wierd) with another mech from the dealership in my dad's RX-7. On the way up, my dad decided to get some sleep and let the other guy drive. Well, my dad woke up to the other guy getting a ticket in my dad's RX. :) ).

So while you are conservative and looking out for my safety and other's safety, did you ever stop to think that car makers make cars that can do excessive speeds, and some people want to safely test their cars?

Ohh, and a side note. Mazda's cruise control(atleast on the late 80's/early 90s cars) only lets you accellerate up to 90mph with the cruise, yet you can just floor it, go past that, and set the cruise. We have done 95-100mph cruises before. It's great. :D
