Touge Battle Open Lobby (Initial D style on custom tracks)

What should the weekly focus of the series be?

  • Individual battles in a bracket system on neutral course / Home course challenges set up on the side

We have been doing 500 performance points as the max and it has worked out pretty well so far. When I get some time Sunday I will do some solid testing to see if PP or a horsepower/weight limit will be better suited for close racing.

Question - I never understood the use of the "initial D" cat and mouse game associated with hot version. The only races where that took place in the manga were the Sileighty, ae86 turbo, ae86 super, cappuccino, r34, and s2k races, if I recall, because there was no room to start side by side in a TA manner. I won't mention anything about the Kanagawa prefecture races since most people haven't read anything about those.

Since GT5 atleast has room for cars to start side by side, what's stopping everyone from doing a 1 lap TA style battle?

I just like the cat and mouse start cause it's fun and makes for a great battle. I think all those races you mentioned were the best ones in Initial D. I noticed whenever there was a really great opposing driver that they would choose to do cat and mouse even if the road provided enough space for a side by side start. I'm not against side by side start I just prefer cat and mouse so it's really up to who's racing. Rules are ultimately up to who is taking part in a race to agree upon before the start. As long as participants agree on rules anything goes.

I also slightly prefer the cat and mouse style. Btw after a lot of testing I have finally decided that the Impreza is the best touge car for me (well for 4wd), do you want your evo 3 back Timber? It was really useful for testing but I won't really drive it anymore.

I was talking to slyd 1 about Touge and then you come in and said stupid stuff about me being a wannabe asian and how I can't even race and right now your complaining about car parts

I warned you once next time it's getting reported. This is not the place. In game I don't care if you call other members names, but it is strictly against GTP policy to do it here.:grumpy:
 
Well academy is over and unfortunatley the top 8 was just out of reach. I learned so much in the process and really have become a better driver all around. Fortunatley though I will be able to get back to what I love most about GT5... TOUGE!!! I'll open up a room later today for all who want to join.

Its just a game. Lets be nice to each other and have a good time playing and competing against each other. :)

I'm thinking about a preliminary bracket tournament later this week so I want to hear what days will work best for everyone. I'm thinking fri, sat or sunday.

Aw man..... definately wont make it on friday and if the tourneys are past 4:00PM Central canada timeon saturday and sunday, then i can't make it..... :(

it also depends for me because im in japan so im like a whole day and 2 hours ahead of EST at least until daylight savings then it will be a day and 1 hour
 
Just made a video driving with a Honda S2000 on a custom created TOUGE track.
