omg i dont think this has ever been discussed before :D thx for posting this thread. yes of course who wouldnt mind a nice windy hillclimb or downhill.

The hill climb track on Forza, Fujikaido or whatever it is called is a great track, so I'd be all for it. The more road based driving the better, I'd say.

How about using propper targa's, thoes road rallies were awesome. As for touge, what is touge, it's a word that referres to a mountain road in Japan if you must know. Tbh no I don't want load's of Japanese mountain roads, I wouldn't mind one or two, but I'd like to be able to race targa's all over the world.

By Targa i take it you mean windy roads from across the world? e.g. Mille miglia?

That would be cool.

Yep, most of the road rallies were called targa's, it was at one time at least, a word used to referr to a point to point race on tarmac that included bends, ie not including dragstrips.

I'd be all for that.

As for touge, it would be cool as long as it doesn't get overdone.

Then (well for me) it would seem alot like Forza, but i ouldn't mind having a few, but just don't make me do a whole bunch in the beging of the gamr like i had to do in Forza with my Evo VIII

Thats when your saposed to point it out, so next time we wont have a pointless thread,

this thread sahll be closed.

Ashley.

Well I dont think it's easy to overdo the track lay out. How do you mean really?

Maybe you mean, not too drift focused, just an ordinary mountain road...

GT needs no more than one track uphill and downhill on a japanese mountain road. (day and night) A 3 or 4 km is strech is more than enough. I am jealous at the japanese people for having so many great mountain roads (pretty much abandoned at night) to race and practise.

Triple yay!

I want Akina Mountain and they should add an almost unbeatable Takumi Ghost which has to be beaten for a licence test. Would be interesting to compare heavy and powerful cars against light and nimble ones...

And PD should really consider to make it a "Start-to-Finish" track (the way all Rallye stages should have been from the very beginning).

I'm so glad this can finally be discussed for the very first time :D LOL

I personally think they should have some. Maybe we are too drift minded, but it could just be for regular racing as well. It would be cool to see some variety in the track, nighttime (as suggested earlier) or even rain as options. Anyway, 2 Thumbs up for me.

The Gran Turismo series has always been sold as the "Real Driving Simulator". If PD really wants to simulate real driving they should include sections of real driving roads, selected from around the world.

Initial D fanboys take note; there are fantastic driving roads all over the world, not just in Japanese mountains.

You could use these roads for test driving cars, when you go into the dealership and select test drive (an option we would all like) you could simply pick your favourite stretch of tarmac to test it out on.

Also the idea of road racing a la Targa Florio and the Carrera Panamericana is a good one which I feel will almost certainly not be included. Pity.

drift kid

yea just to pass on a little knowledge..( i should get rep points for this no jk ) actually Akina is not a real mountain pass for some reason this pass was renamed idk why to this day i think the plan was to rename them all but then they just scraped it but somehow Akina stayed? .. well w\e

in short the real name for Akina is Haruna....... and also having a takumi ghost would mean the game would be too drift happy and based around initial d which i dont want i just want some touge tracks personally i like usui maybe even irohazaka

ive seen everyone else call it akina so im just wondering if anyone else knew that akina is not the real name?

Maybe some of you remember NFS Porsche unleahed (not for PS but for PC) they had a lot og those A to B tracks, and they were going on around the world. It could be in France, Germany etc... They were actually very good drifting roads because it combined highspeed and hairpins. In the same way you could use it as a normal tarmac rally course.
