If that's how it's normally done.

This is my first tuner's challenge.

its just easier for people to find the tunes of the tuners, i wont be joining this as a tester but when i get home back to my ps3 at the end of the month i will be driving each tune on my own.

TUNER NOTES -
One of the most talked about releases here for GT5. Love it or hate it it is a good little car to tune and drive, and this one turned out rather well. Made for the Toyota 86 Tuning Challenge. It won't be the fastest, but it is very easy to drive :dopey:

Great tune, sticks lick glue in the bends, good work mate

I am adding a requirement for testers that they have the DLC FR-S. Since it can't be shared each tester will have to build the tunes themselves for testing.

The Concept II is being removed from official consideration due to the fact that it can't be shared and it is limited availability. It remains on the list only as an indication that it is a variant. Tunes may still be submitted but testers will not be required to drive them.

Will you be joining us as a tester?

Thanks . I just wish I could have gotten more speed out of it, but maybe the handling will keep it competitive :nervous:

I ran it in a 500pp lobby today and it kept the pace really well on the straights, in the corners it destroyed everything! Got a few very easy wins using this tune, infact I think this is going to be my default 500pp car

I'm sure in the hands of a capable and competent driver, it should land a fast time on the GP/F circuit as well. Enjoy.

Be sure to put your cars on share, except the FR-S. And send friend requests to the testers.

And the FT-86 II, if anyone is entering one besides me.

I'm glad the tuner deadline is 2 weeks away. Almost all of my time so far has been spent breaking in 5 cars.

Saw a problem with Praiano's that I have shared. It was on S3 instead of S1s. I took it down a moment and fixed it, though it did say S1 on my side, and it is now reshared with correct tires. If anyone tested it and didn't check the tires please go back and make sure. 👍

I've finished testing the 86s and I'm breaking in a Scion to start those. Need to look and see if there is an efficient order to test those so I only need to break in one right now.

My Scion is tuned with just bolt-ons. If that helps :dopey:

Just did a lap around Cape Ring in xofmike06's GT86 and it did 3 minutes flat. And that time is just 0.3 off the time it took for a Stock Aston Martin V12 Vantage to go around the same course... Good job mike! Only thing I have to say about your setup is that it's a little bit unpredictable when driving on curbs.

Umm... don't touch them? Jk. Good to see you here Mster.

(Drive a Caterham for a few laps on the ring first. Avoiding the curbs will become second nature.)

Just did 8:15.546 in my fr-s and for a 271 hp car thats not bad

Either you're the slowest driver in the world or you're using the wrong track.

This challenge is for the GP/D course, not the whole 24-hour track. :D

I've noticed everyone has just tuned one car each so far. Are people going to enter more over the coming week or should I also just stick to one so the testers don't melt?

The OP says you can enter as many different 86s as you want as long as they are different models. Of course the idea is to find the fastest so if one model has an advantage then the others would be a bit redundant.

You'd enter all 44 of yours if you could right?
Yeah, because the 501PP car would own these 450PP cars.

Earlier in the thread, Hami suggested that I should tune all 5 as a sort of benchmark for people to aim for.
