I made a little world map of all the drivers that were involved in some way during the first race event.
Together we covered the entire globe. :sly:

*Note the difference between jammy's pole position lap and his fastest race lap.

That is crazy.

Ah as you might guessed all Finnish F1 drivers (past and current) are very busy man. No change to have them to drive.
Now that I think of Motegi and car we're using my best choice would be Toni Vilander. I'll let you know how this goes.

Both not racing anymore.
What about Keke and J.J.?

There's actually two Mika's - Salo and Häkkinen. Both are busy too.
I would be honored to share the track with Mika. He was one of my favorite drivers too.
The McLaren years were spectacular to witness.

How could I forget about Salo.
I liked him too. I remember the Monza post-race press conference in '99 when they asked him why he didn't help
Eddie Irvine, and Mika said 'Well, it's pretty hard to help someone when there are three cars between us. In fact it's impossible.'

It was a good reply to a silly question.

I also remember Salo finishing fourth or fifth at Monaco without a pit stop. :)
He went to Champ Cars after F1 and finished on the podium in only his second race there I think, but I believe there might have
been sponsor troubles because he left after only four races.

Fellow Toyota drivers, I did a test race on my own for Tuesday's event.
Thought I would share my results;

My best race lap was 1:49.622

I'm quite pleased with the time progression and the cars headlights will
be turned on at mid-way through.

~9 laps takes off one point of degradation on your tyres and the fuel
economy won't be a problem.

The car feels really good and those forty minutes felt like only ten.

Lap 10 I think.

I've eventually got around to reconnecting my wheel and pedals. So the first thing I did was take the supra around for a few laps to see how it goes. :)
I'm a bit out of practice but managed a 1.50.3. So I'm not too far behind you Jocke. 👍

Thank you very much !!
You have a really nice flag, Dimse. Such warm colors. 👍
I changed mine to Japan temporarily. :sly:

And by the way, since Manny's was the first one I made I managed to mess up with framing
the shoulder and the letters weren't properly aligned. So have this improved one Manny;

So I'm not too far behind you Jocke.
Cool looking car, Paul.
That first photo looks like a blue whale coming at me with it's mouth open. :dopey:
Should I give up racing at all?
No, we need Clouseau!
I can only manage to get 1:51.xxx
Yeah that Jocke's 1.49.xxx is fast laptime.
Ah, but remember guys that my 1:49.622 was at lap 12-15 in my solo-race with 50% less fuel in the tank.

I could only manage 51.4 in qualifying (where I assume the tank is full, can't recall).
Some corners are real tricky for me. This is certainly faster than the Gazoo.

Here's me on lap 10 and also someplace else. :dunce:

And here's @Dimse91 @bloodyboyblue and myself.
Toyota Race #1 - Metzgesfeld - Lap 2 - 8:37PM

I could only manage 51.4 in qualifying
Now that would be fast! :dopey:

I agree, there are some tricky corner / corner combinations. I'm finding the turn in on the Supra is taking some getting used to. Some times I can hit the apex and at other times not. :irked:
My fastest lap so far was without ABS which gives me a bit more speed into the corners but a bit less rubber on the tyres - until I get my brakes sorted out.

Cool looking car, Paul.
That first photo looks like a blue whale coming at me with it's mouth open.
Oh much like a chameleon, it's changed colour a few times since then. :)

@JockeP22 did you ever consider the Prius Race Car for your championship? It's a slightly strange thing to drive but it might be worth a "novelty" race perhaps after the series has ended.

And I see Toyota continues with their racing diversity by developing a GT300 version of the newer Prius!

Although there might have been a few teething problems...

new ad by Toyota

That escalated quickly.
I remember you embedded a video in the Z8 thread before, gk.
A car commercial from a warehouse, was that Toyota too?

did you ever consider the Prius Race Car for your championship?
I did. It was one of the cars I considered for the Touring race but I opted for the quicker Castrol Supra instead.
It could be fun to try it though. :)
If GT6 would have had proper off-road events and drag racing events the Toyota's could have been used even more.

I see Toyota continues with their racing diversity
Yes as I mentioned in the OP there is no other manufacturer that is so diverse as Toyota. They have and continue to
try out everything possible.

I don't know if this works but if you're interested in the replay (assuming you don't have it)
I uploaded the file here https://www.filemail.com/d/vbshbenwohatseq
password: morslilla

Put the separate files in a folder on a USB memory stick and get it onto
your PS3 and GT6. I think that's how it works, right Manny? @MannYhAvitZ

EDIT;
It's the replay from race #1.
Like OB would say 'Oh Boy'
Well this is what I do:
1-Download the replay from Jocke's link.
2-Once you download the replay (file) I am sure you will be required to UnZip the file?
3-Depending how long the replay is, it will depend how many files it will have
Example: when the replay is at least 5 minutes long it will come with 5 or 6 files and since the race was an hr long it will contain approximately around 15 to 18 files to create the replay.
4-Once you have all the files you will need to create a "NEW FOLDER" and make sure to name the folder with the same name of the replay! This is important cause if you don't it will not work! So Jocke what is the name file of the replay?
5-Once you have created your "New Folder" start dragging ALL the files that you UnZip (Dowloaded) in to the Folder you created (make sure it has the replay file name!)
6-Once you have all the files in to the folder you will need to use an USB stick for the following steps.
7-Once you have installed the USB go to computer and open it... Once you have access to the USB you will have to create a "PS3" folder
8-Once you have successfully created your PS3 folder click on it to open it it.... Once open you will have to create another folder under "SAVEDATA"
9-Click on the Savedata folder to open it, Once open leave it open for the following step.
10-Go and drag your replay folder (make sure it has the proper replay name!) and move the folder to the Savedata folder.
11-Now that you have the replay in the Savedata you are now ready to safely remove the USB stick.
12-Insert USB stick to PS3
13-Go to save data and highlight the USB option, click it and if you did everything correctly you will see the replay.
14-Copy the replay to the PS3's HHD
15-Start GT6 go to the replay section and download the replay.
16-Grab popcorn and a drink and enjoy

Hope this helps

Note: where I use this "" it means that that's how the file must be named! or it won't work!
