I haven't been online much recently but had some fairly good races the other night in Alexi's room.

I have a new obsession with EVE Online which is taking the majority of my limited playing time!

Now that is what I race GT for Alex, the other day with Small_Frys/ PrudentBear you and me plus a few others was brilliant fun. Clean as you like and most enjoyable. More of that would be great and I hope to see you boys out on track again this week.

That was pretty awesome Mike.

Had some great fun in the MX5's again last night. Might try the same again tonight, but I'm thinking of not letting people vote on tracks because people vote for Monza and Daytona when driving an MX5, I mean really?! What is the point?!? So it might be less democratic, but hopefully more fun!


Also, people constantly want to change car or have more power...ugh...and I'm not really bothered about what most people think, but want to keep the GTPers happy.

So generally what do fellow GTPers prefer?
Same car from recommended list?
or
Same car with a PP limit/Power weight limit?

I quite like the recommended list because you know everyone is on a level playing field, but I am soooo bored of the selection.

Would love to hear your opinions on this.

p.s. I'll be testing my head tracking tonight, I have a feeling it will only serve to confuse me during the race, but hey it was only a fiver!

Hi Alexi

I'm the same as you in preferring the recommended list but as you say it can become boring. Why can't PD update/refresh recommended garage every so often? I like one make racing with the PP limit just like the MX5.

I think the head tracking only works in arcade mode.. Not sure though.

Agreed It would be nice to have an arcade list of cars like in GT4 that you can change. If I remember it was about 100 in GT4.

Knowing everyone has the same equipment is nice, so I suggest setting a car and max tuning it. Then you can set any pp you like and all is equal. Kinda like what was done at the begining of the TCR.

Alex I couldn't get my head tracking to work and figured it was only for 3D tvs.

Yeah, head tracking only works in arcade mode. I'd join you for races, but my internet has been messing up for the past month or so, meaning that I often can't see or hear some people due to network incompatibility. I'm moving house next week, so hopefully my connection will be better there once I get everything set up.

And yes, only arcade mode and possibly only beginner level.

Enrico opened a good room last night, with a good bunch of racers. Had an awesome race with Fak. 5 laps virtually stuck together, but not even a bit of rubbing, even though we were side-by-side through many corners.

Will do my best to set-up an event in the next couple of weeks. It'll depend on how much time I have and who is interested, but it will probably be a one make event with a PP setting and a mixture of TCR and normal tracks.

I look forward to this, I'm hoping to get back into some OLR now things are settling down. For what it's worth, I like it when you have some scope for choice over cars, the 'Phat and Loud' week was one of my favourite TCR events with just the sheer range of cars people tried out for fun! Maybe a one manufacturer event could be a compromise?

Found a good GT300 room last night, so joined that. Twas intense fun.

Tonight Mathew, I'll be opening a ROAD CARS ONLY ROOM.
Will be around 300-400 bhp and 1200-1400kg.

Might restrict it to FR cars only.


ALSO, WHO WOULD LIKE TO JOIN ME AT BRANDS HATCH THIS WEEKEND?
It's the BTCC race on the full GP circuit. I won some tickets and have a couple going spare, so if you're local, you're more than welcome to join me.
Tickets are for Qualifying Saturday and Race Sunday, plus paddock entry, so we can wind up Plato!!!

AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHH!!!!
Tried to get online yesterday, but my PS3 kept switching off.
After a bit of searching, found some people who had managed to fix the problem with a hair dryer?!?!
It was a last resort as I have seen that some people melted their PS3. I tried it and it worked, although it is a bit wobbly now.

Hopefully it'll work for a while, but have managed to back up my GT data just in case. Only 2000K, is that right?
Fingers crossed, I'll be online later.

Well since the 2.0 update I think online racing has got much better and there for my interesting. As a result I wanna race more and thought it would be a good time for us to dust the TCR cobwebs off.
Anyway im away next week but after that I will be ready to roll so I hope you guys/gals will be interested too.
Alex I hope you can save you ps3 and is it just over heating???


ps weak draft and tuning prohibited are two of the best online updates to GT yet.

Hi gents it has been way to long. I have just moved to my bothers place on Monday and had a go at Track Creator and have made a track, it is under my brother account as I'm PS3less but hoping to change this. I'm sure Mr A will download it and share it "Tring Circuit". Once I'm up and running TCR will be back as the physics seem to be better IMO... can't wait.

Apologies for my disappearing act but I want to get back as soon as I can. But for now I think I have a nice three sector track that should keep you entertain for a little while.

Now going to read the thread and see what I've missed out on.

I'm not a hundred percent up and running but I can jump on my brothers PS3 from time to time and get some tracks going. Did anybody by chance download the track from my brothers account as he tried to download SPA but some how he deleted all the tracks he created including the one I made. Spa looks amazing I would love to take the Polyphony cars around that track.
