How about a more sophisticated tree system then. For example; launching too early causes foul runs, so you still get to work on your reaction times and such.

Yeah, but lets just say that we do get the "forza" system on here. If you and I were tuning a car together. I would just leave my car alone and you could keep working on yours until it was faster than mine, then you would leave yours alone and I would work on mine. think your so sure of yourself huh? I have a few excuses for ya which i have heard before online.. and some that don't relate to lag...

1) PS3 reads my disc slow
2) Disc is scratched
3) controller is broken
4) my kid/animal was in the way
5) my internet is slow
6) My controller was not connected to the ps3
7) My car is de-tuned
8) I blew my engine
9) My brakes don't work
10) I was nervous
11) I wasn't ready
12) I like to drive slow
13) This is a drift/circuit tune
14) I like tamales (really that happened)

And you would also lose the advantage of a better connection. Of course, you don't want that, because everything to your advantage is ok, even if it can't be fair, but you don't care it seems. And if you think I'm exaggerating a bit, go back to school and learn physics.

I'm sorry, but I'm getting tried of repeating myself, everyone just thinks that is the reason I am against this, and OBVIOUSLY that is not the case. At the tunnel where you guys race for days I can see why this auto-launch system wouldn't matter because you can always pull top end. At the 1/4 it does matter, because most of all the races that we have are not decided on tune anymore because there are very little if any differences between the tunes on the faster cars. I am just saying that an auto-launching system would be a crutch and would not help 1/4 at all. I personally would BENEFIT from this system, and I still don't want it.

Any one here ever play live for speed? Someone did a drag mod for playing online with that, that I think would work here. I cant remember right now where the tree was located on the screen (if it was in the corner or always on the centre of the screen) but when you pulled up to the staging area, the staging lights lit up. (you staged like real life). when both racers were in the staging area for a few seconds, the lights started and measured reaction time, 1/4 time, trap speed, everything. I think it's what we need here, with or with out a proper drag track.

first things first yes the ghost tree is laggy and it depends on where you are but when you are in a room with friends and you know about the lag you adjust to whos in there and run different trees... also the first part of drag racing is your reaction to the tree... then your run from point a to point b. you take that away then its no more fun...

Imagine how it is as a european/asian/australien/etc. in an american 1/4mile lobby. Yes, it's terrible.
Why american lobbies? Well, 99% of all Indy tuners seem to be americans, even if I know that some guys created a fake account, just so that they won't automatically get kicked.

It's intimidating lol, I know. But it stands out very easily against the white and is easy to read, part of the reason why I like it so much. But like I said, I wish there was an easier way to do this instead of having to edit it constantly. Maybe Jordan can implement something for us premiums. Shouldn't be too hard, but hey.
