i think i am going to try this challenge but i cant think of a car to use, hmmmmm
i think there should be different classes aslo based on the age of the car like classsics and old aged cars and new aged cars????

had a go in my suzuki gsxr 4. which has a garage bhp of 275. super soft tyres and a wing with max down force. got down to 51secs, although theres def a sub 50sec time with that car. the fact it only weighs half a ton makes up for the lack of power. plus the brakes are excellent :) aswell as having phenominal balance being a MR class car.

oh yeh and no driving aids.

last night after winning a bunch of races, i decided to try the challenge and i went out to the used car lists and found a nice light weight car...the honda crx, which in my opinion is a decent car when fully tuned but in my mind never thought that i could get under 1:05:00 on this circuit. 1:05:00 is what i was aming for but i guess i have to aim higher because my final time for last night was 1:02:109, i was amazed because i did not use nitrous, i am thinking that i may be able to get to 00:56:000, when pushing really hard what do you think?

i got 47.1** in my FD bathurst (R5 Tyres) No nos.

P1020102.jpg

but my R34 GTR clockd about mid 52s no nos on street soft tyres.

quite easy to do... rx7 needs more finetuning

nice job DuGong , anyone else going to try to use a front wheel drive car. i dislike them but it is a challenge to try and get them under 1 minute....my crx does low 58 with nitrous, consistenly. it is a great handling car. i am going to try and use my 89 skyline gts model

Ok cool people are gaining interst in this thread.

Now do you guys want to keep it this way. So evryone just post his times. and the car that their run it.

Or must i go make the classes and then have little comp on which car is the Tsukuba SpeedMonster.

Let me know.

and DuGong your RX7 beet mines way back. Good times.

We should definitly go by classes and also tell how much mods where put into the car. For tire class, just going for S3 and R2 tires. And for drive tran class I'm doing FR and AWD class. Both my s2000 type V and STI spec C are set up for this track.....
I'm Giving in my results soon. But people should just do the results by class.

no noS, no aids, qualifying tyres and a wing, set at 27 / 30

theres def another sec or 2 in it, just can't be bothered at the mo.

cheers bruv, the thing with this car is that it's so damn light (582kgs). which means with that and R5 tyres you can brake so late it's stupid. and has a similar power to weight ratio as my camaro ss which has 520bhp. add the fact that the engine (all be it a motorbike one) is behind the driver, giving the car superb balance and cornering ability. try it out, the car seems almost limitless, apart from having limited power of course.

Done with an m3gtr, r5 tyres, na tune (stage 2), wing (15,25) and no no2, and done without driving aids

But then again i got 49,xx with a normal m3, gota love those germans

All these times were done with fully modded cars and no nos!!!

1. Bmw M5: 45.6xx
(done with no tcs and 2 asc understeer, max downforce and R5 tyres)

2. TVR Tuscan Speed 6: 45.9xx
(done with no aids, max downforce and R5 tyres)

3. Mitsubishi EVO8 MR GSR: 47.201
(done with no aids,R5 tyres and 30 downforce at the front, R4 tyres and 20 downforce at the rear, 130 yaw control, 40% power to the front and a hold load of suspension settings)
Now this car was really fun to drive, it drifted the entire course like a dream, by far the easiest car to drift with speed, that I've come across. :mischievous:

What I'm really trying to do is break the 45sec barrier with a normal car, I know my speed 12 can do it easy but I dont think that car classifies as normal.

Well gona try running my skyline r34 NUR tonite and see how that goes, but please post any ideas of cars that can possibly break the 45 sec barrier.

:mischievous:
BTW will post picks and vids of times tomorrow

wassup :) . some phat time's there bruv. had a go in the M3 GTR and got into the high 47's, that extra 2 secs is gonna be tough. :grumpy: i'm not a big fan of this track, (not enough fast corners for my liking) but i'll give it a go.

Ok peeps i have post the restictions and Classes. So be sure to view the first post. and download the Classes File.

These are my top times, I hope I can make multiple entries, if not please only consider the others as references.

1. Class: Ultimate speed monster
Car: Mazda Rx7 spirit r Type A (FD) '02
Time: 44.223
Honestly I had no idea that I could pull these times with this car, initially I thought my skyline would do it, but as you can see its not even on my list, THIS IS THE ULTIMATE TSUKUBA SPEED MONSTER!!!

2. Class: Ultimate speed monster
Car: BMW M5 '05
Time: 44.656
Now this is a car you can take your family racing with you, this car really deserves a class of its own, I challenge anyone to beat this time with a normal four door sedan.

3. Class: Ultimate speed monster
Car: TVR Tuscan Speed 6 '00
Time: 45.978
British racing at its best. Couldnt use my speed 12 so I figured why not use his small brother, this is a really amazing car except for the five gear trans, it really kills the breaking.

4. Class: Ultimate speed monster
Car: Toyota Supra RZ '97
Time: 46.414
Should I say more, after trying my skyline and not beating my EVO i figured, lets try this monster, honestly I didnt think this car would get this far, it has to much power and to little traction, but this is my only car that can do 320kmh+ on the straight. By far the most powerfull of the lot.

5. Class: Ultimate speed monster
Car: BMW M3 GTR ROAD CAR '03
Time: 46.619
The germans at it again, in GT4 the only other european manufacturer that can even come close is TVR in normal car standings, but the M5 beating the speed6 is real a marvel, honestly havent tried my M3 CSL yet but will let you know how it turns outs, This time was really done with minimal effort and tuning (NA tuning stage 2 on this car)

6. Class: Ultimate speed monster
Car: Lancer EVO VIII MR GSR
Time: 47.770
Well last but not least, my only 4WD in my list, THIS CAR BEAT MY SKYLINE (only by 0.2 sec, but beat it none the less). honestly the best drift car I ever built.

Fastest, if i can remember was a 55.8, with my GTR R32, using Sports soft, no aids. And my latest project car, a Mazda RX7, with 320hp, trying to break the 1 minute barrier, all of my cars never use slicks, as traditionally, tsukuba time attack cars use tyres like Semi-slicks, sports tyres, never slicks. And in full trim, running a 600HP, my R34 GTR managed to break the 57sec barrier. Weighing 1500kg, a street tuned GTR.

I like this idea, ill be joining in. One thing though, would it be possible for you to just put that document as an attatchment to the 1st post, as that site is a biy confusing. I got the document in the end but its not big, surely u can just attatch it to the post. Or just post the rules ina post for everyone to see, that might get more popele involved as thewy wont have to bother downloading anything.

I have a question.what other modifications are allowed?

for example the stock classes say now engine mods, but what about exhausts and things like flywheels and clutches.

also there is no mention of wings and suspension?

Wow fine to see some entrys. Things are looking good for this thread.

@ Rovens: Thanks for your reaction on the file.👍 I will put it as a attachment. Look at the end of this post.

Ok for now this is the desicions i make.

IN ALL CLASSES IS THE USE OF DRIVING AIDS IS UP TO YOU.
For NOW the use of other modifications, such as exhaust and clutches etc. are restricted in the Street classes. So its prohibited to use any of those modifications. For the Pro classes are they allowed. But the use of WINGS can be use in both classes.

There will be changes in the future. More classes and more restictions.
Oh and also if you came up with something please let me know. im all ears.:)

And @Dunda: Those are some verry impresive Lap times dude.👍 And i toke that challenge of a fast sedan. 💡 hmmm a great idea for a new class. will go and think about it.

Nice one mate that clarifies everything nicely 👍

Maybe if this gets enough intrest this could become a fortnightly/monthly competition. using a different class every time. Maybe.

I have a question, what class do cars with factory aftermarket parts stock (such as the Yellowbird and Ford RS200) fall under? Since I was thinking of using my white RS200 in the super stock street class. Thanks for your time. :)

My fastest car in turbo monster is....
Class: Fr Turbo Monster Street
Car: Nissan Silvia S15 Spec R
Time: 59.9secs
No Aids
and
Class: Fr Turbo Monster Street
Car: Nissan Skyline R34 GTR N-1 1999
Time: 57.6secs
No Aids

Rovens:That is what im looking for too mate. in the future.
HKS_T51:Some very impresive times mate good job.
Richardo: I don`t remmeber right now. But if in your garage next their name it says. "Normal Car" they are allowed. Thanks for your question. 👍
