Still no PSN yet. Dont look good for tonights races.
When/if it get active again, everyone will hit it like crazy as will all need to catch up.
So prob be alot of usage for the first few days,
Which is not good for us with low connection speeds.
Will check PSN again later.

Got my steering wheel all set up for the first time last thursday, and still haven't played online. Wanted to practice for tonight's race :(

I miss racing with you, is not fun to race the AI now i raced you guys, I hope we can make it next week.

:D

I'd hope so as well. Not only for the start of the mm-R but to obscure the view of every car behind me with my drifting through Tsukuba.

I'm back in town, and thanks (WTF?!?) to $ony I haven't missed a beat. Hope the PSN is back up soon, it's been too many weeks without proper racing now!

Welcome back mate.👍
Due to hacker...you havnt missed a race. Will send you your reserved mm-R cup car asap. In the next day or so(according to sony).

Hey despawn looking forward to racing with you soon again...though I doubt it will be this sun/mon....:grumpy:

Hey guys. The trip was good, nice to have the family together again. And cross country skiing in 17 degrees C is never ever wrong :-D Hope all of you had excellent Easter (or whichever) holidays as well!

Latest news on the PSN seems to be "back within a week" - but that's been the story quite a while now. A bit worried about the credit card info being stolen, but I haven't seen any suspicious transactions yet. Then again, I don't remember which card(s) I have been using on the PSN....

But what really astonished me is the fact that Sony stored most our info in clear text. Back in the days when I was a programmer we always encrypted as much info as possible. Storing passwords and credit card info in clear text is a no-no, and always the first things you encrypt. Unless you're Sony, it seems.

Right now I don't care, though. Store my info unencrypted and publicly accessible if you'd like, Sony, just get the PSN back online!

I havnt used my credit card on PSN. So am i at rish you think? Guess they may use other details to get info tho.

If you haven't used your credit card you're not in the greatest risk zone, but if you use the same username and password on different services it is a good idea to change your passwords.

Thanx for update.
Ouote from blog. "

"The company also expedited an already planned move of the system to a new data center in a different location that has been under construction and development for several months. In addition, PS3 will have a forced system software update that will require all registered PlayStation Network users to change their account passwords before being able to sign into the service. As an added layer of security, that password can only be changed on the same PS3 in which that account was activated, or through validated email confirmation, a critical step to help further protect customer data."

I have 6 accounts. And didnt save passwords for them as just ticked box saying "save password":grumpy:

Know password for main acc tho,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i think!!!:scared:

Maybe you can buy the account info from the hackers? Heard the price wasn't too bad, like 100.000 USD for all accounts worldwide.

(Sorry, just had to)

Looks like psn getting back online. But not in UK yet.
May postpone fun racing till the 23rd to make sure everyone back online.
If thats ok with others?

EDIT: OP updated.

You should be fine Dave...after downloading the update it seems you just sign in to each account as normal 'ticked' or not...then I am guessing you are forced to change your password so no need to have remembered what they were.. (make a note of the new ones though eh :sly: )..the only problem is if you have a new PS3 since you opened the accounts then you will need to go through the email system or phone customer services and they will direct all passwords from all accounts to a main email address..SONY seem to have no issues with extra accounts and why would they??

I reckon let's plan the first championship starting Sunday 22nd and get the 'Surprise Nights' back on track starting Monday 23rd...

PSN back on in UK...waiting for the password reactivating mails to hit my email accounts....you will need a valid email addresses for extra accounts or phone customer support...good luck getting through...

This is a total pain so many accounts were set up 3 years ago....should have come up with a better way of doing this...too many defunct email addresses....no sign of any mails yet...of course there are so many requests going in it's going to take a while....

@MuShY...struggling with shift2. Strange handling imo.

My main acc is back online. So Next weekend will see the much awaited races return.

To despawn- msg me when you online again and will send you your mm-R car.
Same to DJ for your spare.
