TT 35: Laguna Seca (SUSPENDED) & Chamonix West. [Post 1 for tunes!]

Thanks Johnny. Your comments are very much appreciated along with everyone else that stood by me on this issue. I may be a stubborn old man at times, but damn it, I will always stand firm on what I believe to be right. Thanks again to all the clean drivers and look forward to learning from and competing with you all again in the next TT. Hopefully the next one will be "programming glitch free", lol.

And Kb this isn't pointed for you, but there is sooo many glitches what seriously needed to fix.(I'm not gonna do it anyway) :)

I don't know either. I myself don't see the difference between that corner cut and the one at Laguna either. Maybe PD hasn't seen that one yet. Or maybe they decided to leave at least one up. Who knows. I'm just going to go practice some more for the Academy for now. Or maybe go find JK83 in an online room somewhere so I can take him to school since he like poking at me so much, lol. I'm out of here for now, peace my friends.

I read on granturismo website that the event TT35 Laguna Seca is temporarily suspended not canceled (Italian website)

That is exactly what it says, underneath "Notice: Cancellation of Seasonal Event."

Cancelled, in my books, means it just ain't happening anymore... otherwise they should say "Suspension".

sure mate, I see that. But if they (PD) write the same information in the title and inside the notice maybe make not doubt
 
About time PD stepped in 👍 now go over every track be they tar, dirt or snow with a fine tooth comb and find all the corner cut sections! fix them all for instant red lap when the shortcut is attempted and we wont have this issue anymore... :cool:

Yea, you could probably teach me a thing or two about drifting as I don't do it at all, lol. Just not my thing. As for the beer, I'll pass, it doesn't go well with my pain meds. I'll add you though and we can race sometime.
As for the Lagune TT, I think we can kiss it goodbye. I remember this type of thing happened before and they never replaced it. All we got now is Chamonix with its corner cuts. I'm just turned off from these till the next round. Keeping busy with Academy practice. Peace.
 
I'm glad that PD finally stepped in, and has suspended this Seasonal and is taking a look at the exploits.

I seem to remember that the 5-lap Expert Seasonal (which used the Subaru Impreza WRX STI '10) from June of last year had the same issue.

Anyone Gold the STI Seasonal?

You were able to drive down the pit lane on lap # 1 without voiding your lap.

I guess that PD just used the same lap parameters for this TT # 35.

I agree with him. I think it's sad that people who have obviously put in a lot of effort to get into 1.35s feel the need to stoop so low to have their name higher on the board.

I thought you had a great time with the pad, there was no need to cut the track at all.

Whats worse is the time you have hasn't even beaten the clean time Yinato has, so it makes you look even more stupid for doing it.

Congrats on 1st place Yinato, great lap, glad to see you haven't followed suit with the rest of these idiots to try and claim 1st place back:tup:

1. It's justice served because the cancellation of the TT proves that cutting corners was, in fact, wrong. This was the basis for the argument in this thread. Now it's been answered. It was wrong.

2. It's justice served because cheating lap times will NOT recognized by PD. Another basis of the argument was: "It's not cheating because it didn't red flag me." Now it's been answered. It was wrong.

3. It's justice served because now every racer is playing by the same regulations (and hopefully we can still compete before May 16th). Another basis of the argument was "I don't care. I'll do whatever I can to beat my time. Everyone else is doing it, so why not me? Now it's been answered. All who participate will play fairly. Not just you. Or me. Every racer.

It's justice served. Perhaps you don't see it now, but it'll soon become clearer. Think higher. 👍

Not PD fault though, IF they don't respond to these kind of stuff, more often it'll happen, so cheaters screwed for everyone, same old same old in gaming for years, sad to see it in GT5 :indiff:

I'm thinking that driving on pit road was also done in one of the special events in GT4? Time Challenges? Maybe in the Ford GT?

ok. i am disappointed. And I guess others are too.
GT5 is supposed to be ''the real driving simulator''
and not just a silly arcade game for kids.
and guess what.. it just isn't.
We ask for a fair-play tt where just driving skills are put to the test
instead we get a snow course where a lightweight MR roadster is 2-3 seconds faster than a 4WD WRS car.

I'm seeing prices of second hand Lotus Elise's skyrocketing when the rally community realise they've had it all wrong for all these years.
