Great tune 1:09.646 for now, and I think I can improve it. :dopey:

Whatever the outcome, you got alot to be proud of my friend. Even if you finish 2nd, you should hold your head high knowing you've set a blazing fast lap time either way. Great job my friend, you're among the best there is....respect.

I'm proud of my time but a 4th 2nd place would be quite disappointing. :)

Hello guys,

By no means am I a tuner, in fact this is the first car I have ever had a go at tuning (I usually steal others tunes :sly: ) and it seems to be good for low 109s, I have had a 1.08 out of it... just :sly:

Mazda Roadster RS (NC) 07

Ride height 0 0
springs 15 12.8
Dampers 5 4
4 3
Anti roll 3 1

Camber 2.0 1.0
Toe 0.00 0.00

LSD 7/15/5

Transmission

Final Gear 2500
Top Speed 112

1st 5.664 ( all the way to left)
2nd 4.199
3rd 3.533
4th 2.990
5th 2.548
6th 2.173

Like I said first car I have ever tried tuning but seems good enough for a 1.08.

Let me know what you guys think and if you have any pointers on how to make the car better, I would be grateful for the help.

I was 37th last time I looked, if i knew what power and weight the top guys were using i'm sure I would be closer to the top :)

Forgot to give weight and other specs

Ballast amount 100
Ballast position 50

Power limiter 88.2%

Sports ECU
Sports intake
Sports air filter
Sports exhaust manifold
Sports Catalytic Converter
Titanium Racing exhaust

No weight reduction upgrades

Just tried that Toyota One, got 15.988 on the third lap. Thank God this one is over.

I just took the power and tranny speed as far down as they would go, knocked half a second off my Z06RM best time. I couldn't crack 16s in any other car.

This one is tough.

GTP_Plato, if it wasn't for the fact that you put times down, we couldn't assume that that's for a Roadster

Well, weekend´s over so the trials are done for me, had potential to go P1 on autumn ring but the schedule was tight and wanted a top 10 place on tsukuba also. :)

I had a valid .569 first sector but I ran on in the next corner, I have no idea how I did it because I'd never been under .6 after 100s of attempts :boggled:
My lap time has improved a little bit today but I will definitely have a few more attempts to try and make sure I can still be there when the end comes. The Tsukuba TT looks tight, at the moment the top 107 are covered by exactly 1 second.

Any of the guys in the top 10 feel like sharing their setup for Tsukuba?

I am currently 27th with my setup with a time of 1'08.871 but wouldn't mind seeing if I can better it :sly: With this being the first car I have ever tried to tune myself i'm pretty sure there are some better builds and tunes out there :)

And what is your tune? im normally between 250-700, but at tsukuba i cant get better than 1000th

Thanks for posting Plato-

I can vouch for this tune.

Gained me about 4 tenths after only 10 mins or so.

Now on a 1.08.999

 That was exactly the same time I had before getting a 1'08.8. There is a .7 maybe even a high .6 for me but getting it is another thing

I can't believe I have actually managed to tune my first car that somebody else approves of, like I said if anybody has any tips on what I can do to improve it I would be glad to hear them, we all have to start somewhere, hopefully this tune wasn't just luck :sly: I did spend a long time on it though so hopefully I will be able to learn from it when tuning other cars

Have you tried a high front and a low rear? Most good tunes I can ever remember using have had a high front and a low rear. There's this tune to, you could try and merge the two. ;)

Yeah i'm used to using the high front low rear tunes myself from running WRS events, I have tried that on this tune but it doesn't work to well. Everytime I tried changing the springs from their current setting the car would tend to understeer :ouch:

I did try the spring settings from the other tune posted but still found the setting I have to suit my driving style đź‘Ť

Edit:

Taken nearly a tenth out of my time tonight but could of been better if I didn't bottle it on the last corner, went into the last corner with no confidence and ended up taking it very slow. I actually think this setup is capable of a top 10 time after that lap, getting it is another thing though :ouch:

Current time now is a 1'08.797
