Ah, yes thats why then, but as ALPHA said you can on NTSC (US) and PAL versions.

One more nice thing, You can enter the rider's height when you start the game. I don't know whether it will affect how the rider will perform or not.

Although we dont have damage in TT, we can set the race rule in the option menu to " Hard". If you go out of the track, you will get 10 sec penaty. This will make us to ride with more control.

So Chihchou, there are no tuning upgrade options in this game as far as performance, suspension upgrades like there was in Riding Spirits?

JDM, you have the ability to tweak suspension, brake balance, exhaust and gearing. You cannot purchase performance enhancing parts. The tuning is similar to the setup in Gan Turismo Concept.

-Just finished the licence tests and I’m now earning bikes.
-MV Agusta F4 in my Garage.
-When doing challenges, choose the colour that you want in your garage. 👍
- Scraping hero blobs gives an entertaining sparks display. Unrealistic execution though.👎
-Game mode is refreshing after GT4. Yay to class based racing.👍
-The gear change animation is almost tokenistic and random. Try not to look…:indiff:

-Wheelies and stoppies will become quite mundane after a while, (just like backfires in early 2004) though as they’ve yet to be seen, I thought I’d upload a few more quickies.

-Fuji 2005 has come in for a face-lift. The road surface is no longer pitch black with white sparkly bits. Check the summit.

-Motegi Super Speed way is in.

Back to earning.

Good stuff Gentlemen - Thanks 👍

Ohh and Sam - Nobodys leaned over that far doing a stoppie !

However, I really hope we can have better controller than DS2.
I agree. :indiff:

#1. How do you turn the goast image off when you in the lincense trainning?
I also searched but I didn't find a way to turn off the ghost.

Thanks for this information, I didn't understand the siginfication of this number the first time I launched the game.
So players who have a height higher than 190 cm (the maximum value) can't play TT. :P

Anyway, I have a request for you : are you able to translate the various screens of the options for us ? We can do screenshots if needed. Thanks.

Yes, I read Chinese. How can I help?

If you can post the Chinese character images here, I will be able to translate for you.

We'll take screenshots as soon as possible, but not before the end of the day for me. Thanks. ;)

Great pics and info, Sam... 👍

Glad UPS delivered on time, and I am of course very envious of all of you who now have TT's in your hands :sly:

Chihchou, I’ve noticed that the bikes have tardy acceleration from a standing start. Is there some kind of traction control that can be disabled? Further, how does one select more realistic tyres.

It’s great to have you onboard.:)

Edit:
I’ve used GT4 as a guide to check on the arcade traction control setting (it seems to be in the off position) and selected pro or hard tyres, yet the game is still unbearably arcade like. Anything I’m missing?

I don't think there is traction control at all at this point. I feel the scooter have tardy acceleration from standing start because it is automatic transmission. Not like a gear box, you can shift to 1st gear with high rpm.

On the street bike, the tire it come with is "street tire". You can change it to
"Limited supply parts" tire under Machine Setting Menu in your Garage which I believe it has more grip than the street tire.

That is what I think so far.

Thanks, though I desire less grip. The thing that concerns me is that the revs are restricted by something from a standing start. If you max out the revs on a ZX10 and dump the clutch, all hell should break loose. In the game the bike sets off at what feels like quarter throttle. No wheel spin either. Hmm :ill:

Just test on the ZX-10R from arcade mode. I understand what you talk about more now.

One thing I found quite interesting. If you set your controller to "regular mode" ,which the Pink Square button on DS2 will lock both front and rear wheel. When you start from completely stop, press the pink square button and blue X at the same time, the engin can go to high rpm . On the other hand, If you set your controller to "Pro mode", the Pink button will only lock the front brake only. When you start from completely stop, press the pink square button and blue X at the same time, The engine will not able to go to high rpm.

The bike does not have N gear on this game. It is on 1st gear when complety stop, maybe the rider is pushing the cluth, otherwise the engin will go off in the real world.

I find it strange too, it does feel like it has TC on it. But I really find no option to turn it on or off. And there is no tire spin at all from standing start in such high power output.

Samberto: How do lift the front wheel off the ground on purpose when start from completly stop? Just like what you show in your nice Picture.

Thanks

speedy_samurai
Samberto, how do you feel about the controls? User friendly?
Overly friendly...
Hey SS, the controls work reasonably well, though due to the endless/glue-like traction, we might as well be using a pad that doesn’t support button sensitivity.:indiff: To be fair, the DS2 does a pretty good job (I use GT configuration) though it’s not really comparable to GT4 with DS2.

Edit: DFP:dunce:

Is there a track in arcade mode that we can do a standing start, all I find is rolling start.
Just brake, and then create your own standing start. :)

The invisible traction control system is highly concerning, as bikes invariably bog-down from a standing start, and you can’t cause bikes to break traction mid corner (despite the most extreme provocation.)

I think that the ability to do stunt tricks is dependant on the mode that you select. Take a high powered bike on a Free Run; push back on the left analogue stick, and up she comes with acceleration. Try the reverse for a stoppie.

Thanks for the trick. One other thing, can you go in to pit at all.
I test ride GSX1300R on Fuji 80' in street mode. I use " Limited supply part" tire and set the tire damage to high in the option menu. The rear tire go to orange in the second Laps. I try to go to pit, but it is closed. I wonder is it only open on the longer race? Or We are not able to change tire at all during all race.

Thanks again.

Sorry, I haven’t tried to pit at this stage. Perhaps you can do a little research and fill us in. Enjoy the wheelies.

Thats good news for me to hear. The tune ups were way over the top in the GT series if you ask me. Supposed to be a simulator right?
I want to be able to simulate bikes you will see out on the streets and on race tracks. They race Turbo bikes. And many people use Nitrous and build motors on bikes.

After playing this game, I appreciate DFP and GT4 combination even more now. I just put GT4 in and try it without DFP the first time, and test drive the elise on the ring. Without the DFP, I feel GT4 is more arcade like. With DFP, I can feel every bump on the surface and all the weight shift. What I saying is, I will like TT 200% better if I have something to ride it on and lean my body while make a turn.

The control on DS2 is good, but not extremely good. This little DS2 is the only interface we have to exprience the simulate world PD create. It is a bit hard to feel the weight of the bike, although you can see it on the screen. I want to feel more. Maybe I am just asking too much.

It is still a very good game even with DS2. I like to ride with "on bike view" which you can see the handle bar. It is such a thrill when you make a high speed turn and cut the apex really close to the wall, and you feel like your body almost touching the wall. I understand this is a simulate world. But without this game, I might not have the luxury to expirence what it is like to be a MotoGP rider. I know the expirence must be very different. I still want to say thank you to PD for making this game that I am enjoying now.

I think if PD make the tire with less grip and the control less sensitve, those 1000CC race bike will be so hard to control with DS2 precisely. The line for the bike is very diffently from the car. I found myself turn in much later in the conner and much closer to the edge and even brake during the turn. It is actually more fun than driving a car. Because the track become much wider consider the width of the bike, You need to find the line even more precisely. This is what I really like about TT so far. And I am just start learning how to ride a bike on the track. Lots of fun.

I am not a English speaker, and writting in English is very hard for me. Sorry for all the spelling and other mistakes I made. I just try to share what I think here.:)

You speak better English than some native-English speakers. Don't worry about it, and thanks for all the info guys :).
