Sometimes I brake too late and too hard
it slides and falls :indiff:
once I managed to slide without falling ... pretty scary imo

now I am trying to get a Yamaha TZ250 from challenge mode
spent 1.5 hour still couldn't pass the 2nd AI

Boy am I also finding this a toughie to crack, you gotta ride 2 perfect laps to catch the 1st place guy

Is this an old bike that can't pass 15X Km/h? It was a bit hard in the beginning, but I managed it to pass it last night without much trouble (1st lap).

Found the step by step on how to load PAL games with the $20.00 magic swap disk https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=59527&highlight=swap+disk

Yes but if you have a PAL machine you need to use a PAL swap disk in the first place to boot the machine, then you can switch mode to NTSC and play NTSC games.

Just like if you have a NTSC machine you need the NTSC disk to boot, then you can switch to PAL mode to play PAL games.

Sorry, i have a poor english. But i try to tell you, how i made this.
I´ll only take around five attempts.
In the short speed turns i drive the green line (Brake hard and accelerate soon) not the red line, i had no problems to win the TZ250 (Look the simple pic´s)

I heard of it too Alpha
I saw some people in chinese forum sharing replays recently
it is in DAT format
however I still can't figure out how it can be done

NSR500 > thanks for your effort posting the racing line
last night I finally could pass the 2nd guy around the 2nd hairpin (Yeah!)
but the strategy was a bit different ...
I used manual ABS like brake-release-brake-release-brake
it actually brakes faster, and inner riding style helps a bit more as well

Sam, couldn't it be that Polyphony decided to restrict the bikes? Don't know if it is the same in China as in Japan, but in Japan bikes are restricted. From what I know a Honda CBR 1000RR makes only about 95 bhp in Japan.
Onno, sadly you were right! As the RR’s were left alone, I failed to note that the Blackbird, VFR800 and the CB1300 have been restricted along with the NR.

Blackbird 100PS (should be around 150bhp)
NR 750 76PS (should be around 125bhp)
VFR 800 80PS (should be around 108bhp)
CB1300 100PS (should be around 134bhp)

The ZRX has also come in for castration with a mere 95PS (should be around 122bhp)

Roll on PAL...

You can save and download replays to a USB drive now?
It seems that I can only gain access to mem card 1 and 2. You can look into it shortly.

If the Japanese version has bikes restricted to go with real-life Japanese 'law' - do you think other versions (PAL etc), if they get released will be de-restricted?

You dont need to chip your PS2 to play imports. Get a magic Swap disk for only $20.00. I have been doing it for almost 2 years now with no probems at all. 👍
do they carry that magic swap disk in GAMESPOT?

Very impressed by the news of this game. Keeping an eye on it and will deffo buy it when it becomes available in the UK. Not doin the whole Japanese, Chinese import stuff, I can wait I think.👍

I want to be able to simulate bikes you will see out on the streets and on race tracks. They race Turbo bikes. And many people use Nitrous and build motors on bikes.

I agree, i was going to pick up this game but only if i could take a turboed out hayabusa on the ring etc...what makes them think people want to drive modded cars but stock bikes? :grumpy:

Who said that we wanted to drive modded cars? ;)

Good point! I drive stock ones too but i just think it would be awesome to have these already fast bikes and make them insanely fast. And since ill never do it in real life, i was hoping PD would make my dream come "true". :)

Not sure about that, but I guess it helps you keep the front wheel on the ground when accelerating.

Some tuning like turbos and stuff would've been nice, but I've been driving some fast bikes on the Nordschleife, and it's been quick enough.

I notice that turbo Hayabusa has longer wheelbase
does longer wheelbase improve handling?
Nope, the extended swing-arm corrupts the handling. Little point to drag bikes, as the game’s main focus is cornering and swift lapping. The delightful Yoshimura X-1 Hayabusa will do just fine thankyou.;)

The Turbo Hayabusa would be a absolute dog around the Nurbergring. It'll go in a straight line ok but you come across one of the tracks many corners, even a quick kink and you'll be straight off.

The Yoshimura Hayabusa above was raced at the 8hr a few years back and had major problems in the bends compared to the Superbikes. Most sports bikes struggle to put the power down as it is, and thats why you dont see bikes with turbos.

Heh, I was just about to make that very point about turbos.:)
Entertainingly, the Busa and 12R were eligible for an Australian racing category in the early 00’s. Quite fun watching the riders dealing with the rear as they exited the turns.

For those who are interested, the X-1 is making 195PS in the game, and as the power figures appear to be crank based, it seems that it’s missing some ponies.

I would certainly expect PD to correct the power figures. Let's hope that they add some market specific liveries and extra bikes while they’re at it!

I downloaded one file and it's 23kb.
The replay file is not a movie as such, rather, it’s data that you can share with other players who can load it up with their copy of TT.

{EDIT}
If you’re aware of the above, and you’re wanting to load another player’s replay, you can load the file in the photomode section. I presume the command is under mem 1 and 2.

I know, what I want to know is if I can transfer those files from the USB drive to the MC, and would the game recognize them?

Edit: Okay, but would I load them directly from the USB drive?

I presume so. Go to the load command in the photo mode section and see if the USB drive appears. When loaded, I guess that you’ll be able to save the file to your card.

{Edit}
Care to upload a file into your next post? I’ll see if I can convert it from JPN to Asia with the save tool and transfer it to my card with Max Drive.
