So guys... How is TTS going this season?

No too bad! The first race was a bit of a let down as there was only 5 of us racing, but there was a good few battles :-)

The second race at Spa was much better with twice the participants of the first race, which led to some even better racing and battles throughout the 15 laps! I'd say I'm looking forward to London this weekend but it's gonna be manic on such a tight track. I can see a lot of crashes happening.

About the pace car, we had no time to practice the formation lap at Spa... well, we did one practice without the pace car, and it went so-so. And we were already running late, so to save time we made a normal start instead. I'd still like to try a formation lap start though...

About London, I love that track! Gonna be a real test for the "clean racing" thing, my strategy is probably gonna be to wait for the car in front to make a mistake before trying to pass...

The race will also, as you may know already, be run in two heats, because there's no pit... so the points for the first heat will be 50% of the normal value and the same for the second heat. So if you for instance win both heats you'll get 5+5 points.

eran, we are still recruiting racers, and I may switch to class A, because today's race was not too exciting for me, in the B class.

Okay, feel free to switch! Just send an e-mail with the new info to eran0004@gmail.com

Sorry I wasn't able to make the race, 6 AM my time is just too early. I didn't wake up till 10. So I was 4 hours late! Hopefully the next race is a bit later on so I'll be able to make it.

The times can't fit everyone... but hopefully the times for the races later on in the season will be better for you! There's still many hundreds of points to race for.

I did some testing and think the Nissan Silvia S15 RM is a really good car. Faster than the R32 easily. But I'm sticking with the NSX. I might be able to make next race. 8 is early, but not as bad as 6.

Damn that Rx7 TC is fast. I just got done driving it, at 1100kg, 400hp, on my first hot lap i hit a low 1:21. I didn't realize that it was that much faster than the GTR, 6 seconds a lap! Sorry if I came across yesterday as a sore loser, but that wasn't the case. I couldn't fathom the difference when both cars were at some HP and KG. Then me asking about enforcing the restrictions, I Just wanted to know if there was a way to enforce stuff, not saying anyone isn't honest or anything. For example, I use my cars for multiple things, and may forget to change it back. I will also be taking photos of that race, as well as ones to come for enjoyment!

The only way that could work to control that everyone is running on the correct restrictions is by doing this:

1. Regulations are set to 1100 kg / 404 bhp, all A class cars must enter
2. Regulations are changed to 990 kg / 207 bhp. Now all A class cars will be "kicked" out of track and back to the lobby. While in the lobby though they are not allowed to change any of the settings - doing that is a disqualification. Meanwhile, all B class cars must enter
3. The regulations are changed to 990 kg / 404 bhp (to keep the minimum weight for B class and maximum power for A class) - all A class cars can enter again.

Nice pictures! Do you want to upload them to the blog? Send me an e-mail (eran0004@gmail.com) and I can make you a guest writer :)

London does not have a pit lane. If someone makes an error and hits you, it will cause damage on both cars. If damage is on high then you would have to run the rest of the race with damage. Can we please have low damage for races like these?

Yep, damage will be set to low. The only thing that might happen is that you run out of rubber, but it shouldn't be a problem, it's not so many laps per heat.

Ya I think that would be the best to control restrictions. But that is up to you. You are welcome to post any pictures you want or make a section for them on the blog for each race? I am not good with blogs so making me a writer may be out of the question. But ya, if you want to post any pics I take you have my approval:tup:.

Trevors, I think with the R32, you should increase the front end drive 35/65 or 38/62. Or run another car because the R32 wont get any lighter than 1145kg.

Not running the R32 anymore. I will be running the Rx7 like the rest of the world.
Just need to find a B class driver, I have a few prospects though!

I still think that damage should be high!
People just have to drive more careful.

Lag doesn't allow you to be careful. No matter how good your internet is, you'll get lag from playing with people the other side of the world, it can't be helped.

Run the Silvia S15, take a chance! It's a good car, but I like The NSX so I'm running that.

Just to let you all know:

Seven teams are now registered in the TTS series, which means there is no more room for new teams to enter. If you still want to join the series you can ask the team manager of an already existing team if you can join theirs. Head over to the Teams page to find a list of teams and their contact info.

NASA style Pre-flight countdown procedure checklist!

In order to make sure that all cars are within the regulations of its class, there has been an update to the procedures before race. A class cars will be tested first, then B class cars will be tested, and then finally all cars can join. Important is that once the regulations test for your class has ended, you cannot go back and change your settings! Doing so will get you disqualified.

For the second race, on December 17th, the race starts at 14.00 UTC time. The room will be created at 13.00 UTC time and there will be 40 minutes of practice. At T-20 minutes (T=race time start) the regulations check and qualification session will begin. Here is the NASA style countdown procedure checklist.

T-60. The lobby is opened.

T-60 to T-20. Time for testing, changing settings etc. Make sure you do all the tests and fine tuning you need during this time, because there is very little time after T-20.

T-20 to T-10. Regulations check. Important that all drivers are present at this stage!

T-20. A class regulations check: The regulations will be set to 1100 kg / 404 bhp

T-20 to T-15. All class A cars must enter the track.

(Class A cars that doesn't enter during this period will be disqualified. Once you've entered the track you are not allowed to go back and change any of the settings of the car - doing so will get you disqualified.)

T-15. B class regulations check: The regulations will be set to 990 kg / 207 bhp.

(All Class A cars will now be kicked off track because they don't fit the new regulation. Don't worry though, this is just to make sure that all cars are running within the regulations.)

T-15 to T-10. All class B cars must enter the track.

(Class B cars that doesn't enter within this period will be disqualified. Once you've entered the track you are not allowed to go back and change any of the settings of the car - doing so will get you disqualified.)

T-10. Regulations check complete.

T-10. Qualification session begins: The regulations are changed to 990 kg / 404 bhp.

T-10 to T. All class B cars remains on track. All class A cars enter the track again. Time to do some quick qualification laps before the race starts.

T. Race starts.

That's it. Any questions? Team managers, make sure you pass this info on to all your drivers.

Thanks for the heads up Mr Manager :)

I have a question. As its not really possible to have a pace car to do a formation lap around London, would there be one the weekend after considering the length of La Sarthe? The speed would have to be increased alot, and we know how good certain people are with formation laps....:-S lol

I think I saw a formation lap in the real life 24 hours of Le Mans ;)
But yes, I know what you mean. How much time would a lap take at 60 mph?
