So the tires tonight. We have to run all four sets during the race? So there has to be three stops minimum?

I asked that question - answer is earlier in thread.

Okay, you only get one set of each. And the way the tire wear works in this is that you'll need all of them because tires don't last. Honestly, that's not my idea of strategy or fun. I'll be back for the Gr.3 Premiere races. Sorry for not picking up on that sooner.

This combo is going to be very hard and demanding on tires. This forces people to keep from putting every 6 laps for super softs to stay up front. It’s all about strategy as you need to be easy on tires and make you think on when and what stent to run certain sets.
The other combos later won’t be that demanding and will make it different than this one.

that being said, you don’t have to use all 4 sets but this combo is going to show who is prepared the best.

from what I noticed last night the stents will most likely go.

Hards-12laps
Mediums-12laps
Softs-9laps
Super-6laps

Now if you were able to save fuel you could do

hards-14laps
Mediums-10-12laps
Softs7-9laps
Supers6-7laps

Strategy isn’t running perfect tires every stent, strategy is how you make the best of what you’ve got.. many racing organizations limit the amount of tires teams get each weekend. This is to keep people on their toes with their strategy. I had half my mind last night to allow 2 sets of Hards, but that would make it too easy and if someone wants to put for fuel and run a few more laps on Hards then that’s strategy.

@Neutty Hi guys, it would be nice to have a race in the calendar with the old M3 or any other car where we should drive with clutch and making heel and toe shifting, more like a real driving techniques, what do you think about?
Best regards,
So GTSport has poor physics when it comes to using the clutch, however, the Gr.1 C’s are with the clutch so you will get to use it there.

You're saying you don't have to use all four sets but your examples show you using all four sets. If you don't have to then why not do this?

Medium - 12 Laps
Medium - 12 Laps
Softs - 8 Laps
Softs - 7 Laps

I think he’s saying this for this particular track. Earlier he stated that this track is a little more iffy with tired, which brings in his reasoning for the four compounds. With later tracks, it won’t be as such most likely...depending on ones strategy, making it so all tire compounds won’t be used.
Hopefully I’m wording this right. I believe he is off of his break at work, so he can further explain later if need be, but that’s just my thought process in knowing how my husbands brain functions.

I agree with the clutch physics issue, but with our friends we have had seen that doing heel and toe those cars could be 1 second faster. Nonetheless it is quite fun and some cars sounds just awesome downshifting that way.

It says "One set each only" which means you can only use each once, but with the way tire wear works you're gonna have to use all four. There's no strategy of using three and picking three of the four tire compounds you want to use. It's just use all four and decide how long you want to suffer on each one. People like that and that's great, but I don't think it's for me.

We are limiting it to one set of tires to try and make it a little more enjoyable for others....some drivers drive better on softs than they do hards ad vice versa... you don't have to use every set if you want to make hards go 2 fuel runs they by all meens go ahead

We all know that is much slower and won't work. I don't wanna beat on this too much. You guys have your fun.

This combo is very hard on tires. I’ve basically exposed my personal strategy as that’s how my tires wore last night.

just wondering if you adjusted brake bias any? I ran a mock race@ 19 laps to learn wear of SS and Soft compounds. I found the front left tire gets abused for both at around 5 laps for each. I finished up on medium for the last 7 laps and could have easily went longer. I didn’t think of brake bias until after running, but could be useful to distribute more wear to the rear.

The key to the LF is to be easier on it for corner entry as well as corner exit when you can.

I like the compound rules. It made Saturday's race really fun. Last night with open wheel it kept things interesting. The F1 car on worn mediums is what nightmares are made of.
I’m extremely sorry I missed it lol I thought my wife would be sleeping by then and it didn’t help it was her birthday

We only have 10 people signed up. If you are still on the fence, we would like to see you on the grid.

Tired of looking for the confirm list form thing doohickey sooooooo

Con****ingfirm

What Aston do I need to race tonight?
