Maybe that's the reason why I'm listening so much to Coldplay(trouble) lately.;)

The date was much fun, we went to the movies: Next.

But as promised:

Here it (finally) is!

ViPP Evolution VII GT-A '02

Car's History:

"The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, colloquially known as the Lancer Evo or simply Evo, is car manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors. There have been ten versions to date, and the numerical designation of the model is most commonly a roman numeral. All of them share a two litre, turbocharged engine and four-wheel drive system in common. Evolution models prior to version V were the officially-approved models for Mitsubishi's efforts in the World Rally Championship's Group A class and SCCA Pro Rally Championship. In order to follow these rules, the Evolution is based on the same platform as the Lancer. However, it is much more powerful than the standard Lancer, with the unibody being the only major part in common between the two."

"Despite its civilian appearance, the Evolution VII can outrun many more expensive cars (such as the Ferrari 360 Modena, as seen in Best Motoring videos.)"

I just want to encourage everyone here to put in an effort to tune a 350hp sports car. That's a great spot for tuning and speed to come together and can serve as a real test for a tuner.
The 350 range can be a challenge for tuners because there are so many good cars that, with tuning, will become great cars. 👍

That said, follow the link in my sig about a "touge tuning" showdown.

pre-Review: VIPP Evolution VII GTA

As much as I wanted this car to have a good grade, I couldn't give it. It does turn better than MFT Black Widow, BUT.. Lack of downforce made the car difficult to control. It kept going sideways which was entertaining for a while, but it didn't help in making fast laptimes. Rear end did break loose too easily at low speeds due almost frantic eagerness to turn, and at high speeds the car understeered, usually with disastrous results. also, VCD wasn't touched either.. Gears suited the track well, although I had no need for 6th gear. Suspension was bit too stiff for grip driving, it was more like drift setup. I won't give this car a grade yet, since I have a hunch that the creator of this car has something to add to the setup..:indiff:

yup, I'll give you a second chance. in the meantime, I'll introduce my American wild horse.👍 :)

MFT Mustang GT-S'05

This time, I had again a familiar task: Turning a sumo wrestler into a Spiderman. My victim was Ford Mustang GT, a ponycar that had suffered same fate as Elvis.. from a slim, swiftly moving superstar into slow, fat, asthmatic abomination. And happily I can announce that I have succeeded. Please, sit down, put on your seatbelts, because this ponycar has been fed with high octane since it's birth!

Thanks Leo,

Hurrying on a car like this isn't good for nothing, I see now. Tuning takes time, and lots of it.
too bad the car hasn't got downforce with the original wing.:( the GT shop ones suck a**, if you'd ask me. I mean, the eye wants something too.:P
I'll redo the settings then...
hope I'll find some time this weekend.

I suggest putting up the camber to at least 1.5

Have you ever experimented with suspension settings before? I can tell that sucks without trying it.

A stock rx-8 has more negative camber than that.

EDIT: With your settings I got a 1'41.xxx, and with 1.8 and 1.6 degrees of camber, I got a 1'37.xxx

Both of those were just one lap.

The Tuner Challenge has been posted.
All submissions are listed.
A public poll is up for voting.
The contest ends in two weeks.
Judges will post their opinions between now and the end of the contest.

I encourage all of you to see what was posted, vote, give opinions, etc etc... Let's reward the brave members who were willing and interested in being part of the Touge challenge!

minichris502 just a little tip the rear camber most of the time is less then the front, for you corvette try a camber angle of 2.8/0.8 this should get you a quicker lap time, for the skyline try 2.4/0.6 again this should give you a quicker time.

I wouldn't blindly accept that advice minichris. :indiff:
Many cars in GT4 do better with more rear camber than front camber.
In fact, what is (IMO) one of, if not the best handling car in GT4 (the Amuse S2000 R1) comes stock with a sports suspension that uses default camber settings of 4.0/4.5.

I use higher rear camber on many of my cars and I suggest you test for each car before you accept generalized camber suggestions. 👍

yeah your right I shouldn't come hear and start posting things that are just a generalized setting I use. I was just trying to be helpful and I'm sorry if I annoyed anybody.
