I missed that. I'll correct the Drivers List, thanks!

Maybe no one can play?

It's account based, not console based. I can get on my alternate account (which doesn't have the TRL lobbies or even enough creds to buy tonight's car). From what I'm reading, Sony is being hush hush right now. I better not lose a 2 year old garage, lol.

Good evening gents, during practice, mic gave me an idea, and I figured out how to use custom wheels on the Mine's BNR34 if you'd like to.

After putting the wheels on, I purchased the Fully Customizable Transmission and reset it to default, then re installed the standard Close Ratio Six Speed Trans. The practice lobby, tuning prohibited, allowed my car on track.

23,500 is a little steep for rims, but it works!

I havn't been making any of the races lately. I still want to be part of this series but I'll probably be a little more selective with which races I am in at least for the next while.

Thanks jay! It worked! And thanks mbobb! Haha wow I got the xanavi nismo gt-r 08' thanks though!

It looks like I'm out for tonight. My ps3 is giving me a maintenance error for some reason ...

Me too bummer!

It is account based, last night it happened to one of my accounts.

Hey Guys. I am here to report some sadness, but possibly some good news too. I am going to have to drop from the Turtle Racing League as a whole. I am having a schedule change at work, and because of it, I am not going to be able to compete at all with you guys. If any of you have seen my previous posts about my shifts at work, you will see that I was previously on an opening shift, which made it tough for me to still be up and aware by the time we actually raced on Friday and Saturday nights. Now I am shifting to the complete opposite, where I will now be closing, so I will still be at work when you guys are wrapping up the races for the night and heading over to the turtle town lobby for the after race cool down. The only nights I have off now will line up with practice sessions, so its not really worth it to me to stay in at this point.

I'm still planning on staying updated on you guys, and hope to come back and race again soon, but I will be on this new schedule for the foreseeable future, so I have gone a new route to still allow me to get my league racing fix. Announcing the MCCS: Multi-Class Championship Series! as it states in the title, it is a multi-class series, which allows for multiple classes on the track at the same time, so that everyone can learn from each other, and still be competitive with drivers of a similar ability level. we also have a NASCAR only Division, which will trade out races on a bi-weekly basis, allowing for 2 Division championships occurring simultaneously, as well as an overall championship race for those who race both Divisions. Feel free to check it out. I'd love to have the company, and we should have a full schedule posted soon, as well as updated details regarding expected cars for the upcoming season.

I'll miss you guys,
Casa

Hello again Turtles,

Last nights ENDURO Practice was an absolute BLAST! I cannot believe that I came so close to my first podium finish. I know it's just practice, but that was the best finish I've gotten to date. I held onto 3rd place right up until the final lap. I had one flounder on lap 3 right in front of Psycho, with a major (and spectacular looking if I may add, I have photos) 4 wheel drift in the first turn. I was able to save it and keep going, holding out in front of Psycho for just another lap. Finally on lap 11, micantony caught up and got by early in the lap.

Like I said, I know it's only practice, but that was the best I've done since joining TRL and it felt awesome!

And the Mine's BNR34 Skyline N1 base is a beautiful car, as shown below  ...

:sly:👍

EDIT: I think I have a new desktop background!

Yes, you did very well last night jay*doc. I want to see those drifting pictures! 👍

Thanks Psycho and MBOBB! Here is that 4 wheel drift I was talking about. I'm personally surprised that I didn't end up off track or in a full spin from this, but when it started to step out, I just stuck with the throttle and gave it a little flick of counter steer and quickly returned the steering in the direction I wanted to go. I think that's what happened. Anyway, pics!

This is what Psycho would have witnessed, he was also in the first turn when this happened!

From another angle. I call this, "How to startle a Psycho"

Nice drift jay*doc. It looks like you planned it.👍

I wish I were that good, to intentionally drift and hold my position! The only reason I went back and watched the replay was because I was amazed (and happy) I made it through safely.

Awesome! What one did you use? I have the "Mines" with TRL info at the bottom set now.

I was watching your drift and crashed as a result. My drift was puny compared to yours and ended with a spin. It is quite ridiculous looking actually!

Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series

Race 31: Suzuka Circuit
Car: Mine's BNR34 SKYLINE GT-R N1 base '06
Laps: 22
Tires: Racing Mediums
Date: March 23, 2013
Prize: 1994 Birthday Ticket

The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports
"It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free."

Rules

You are expected to follow The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1.

"Rubbin"

This is a non-contact sport. Let me put it another way, if you are "rubbin", you ain't racing in this league! We will not tolerate individual drivers taking the fun out of racing for everyone.

First Turn

You are not going to win the race on the 1st turn or the 1st lap. Therefore, it is the policy of this league for you to hold your position in turn 1. Holding your position in the first turn is limited to the first turn on the first lap. You must hold your position through the 1st turn and make no attempt to advance it unless the following situations occur: 1) The driver directly in front of you is asleep on the start. 2) The driver directly in front of you runs off course with at least 2 wheels off the track. 3) Obvious race incidents that must be avoided. Other drivers may draft past you before the approach to turn 1 if it can be done incident free. In other words, if you are able to fully draft past someone without incident or disruption to the other driver(s) with a reasonable distance before approaching the first turn you may. This rule is in place for 2 reason: (1) to avoid incidents in the first turn, and (2) so that drivers doing their part to avoid incidents in the 1st turn of are not taken advantage of. There is no sense in causing an incident in the congestion of the first turn. Furthermore, it is inappropriate to take advantage of other drivers doing their part to keep turn 1 incident free. If a complaint is filed, the decision we make will be one that promotes an incident free first turn.

Dive Bombing

Dive bombing is unacceptable, and only results in accidents. It is not the same as passing under braking. Dive-bombing is when a trailing car intentionally brakes late to dive underneath the car in front of them as they are turning into a corner. The trailing driver must move to the low groove for at least 3-4 seconds prior to corner entry, so that the leading driver can see the trailing drivers intentions in his mirror. However, running the low groove is not a guarantee that he will allow you to pass, it is only an indication that you wish to pass him on the low side.

Procedures

• Division 1 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division1 lounge

• Division 2 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division2 lounge

• Division 3 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division3 lounge

Connection Issues

Please follow the procedures below to help minimize connection issues.

Step 1: Reboot your modem/router
Step 2: Reboot your PS3
Step 3: Clear your GT5 in game System Cache

Pit Stops

Drivers need to be very careful entering the race track when exiting the pit. Please look at your map to see if other drivers are near the pit exit. Drivers exiting the pit need to stay in the pit exit lane until the track is clear of cars on the track. Cars on the track have the right of way.

Quitting

Drivers are expected to finish races no matter what position they are in. Rage quitting is frowned upon! :grumpy:

Microphones

Although you are welcome to use microphones during the race, they should only be used to communicate your proximity to other drivers in order to avoid an incident. Otherwise, either mute them or make sure any background noise in non-existent.

Reminders

• Hold your position and do not attempt advance it in turn 1 of lap 1

• If you go off track make sure the track is clear before you renter

• If you cause an accident you must wait and give the position back

Race Incidents

Legitimate complaints are encouraged, they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Complaints should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race steward of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a video review by an independent steward. All racing incidents or racing related issues shall be dealt with privately and under no circumstance mentioned publicly.

Final Note

Race Clean and Have Fun!
