TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - ENDURO Racing Series - PRACTICE TONIGHT!

Fun race last night with all divisions racing together. I love that car. Great racing by everyone. A lot of close door to door racing and it was a good time.

My only complaint was my two terrible pit stops. I don't know if there is a trick to it or if it's just the way it is, but on both stops, my car did that thing where it slows waaaay down and almost comes to a complete stop before turning in to the pit stall. I've had stops in other races where it didn't do that, so not sure what the deal is with that. If someone knows how to keep that from happening, please do tell.

Again, great racing by everyone. Congrats to Psycho and Garagefather on your wins.

Some tracks don't like it if you enter the pits too fast.

I though it might have something to with all the other pit crews standing around on pit road after everyone had made their pit stops, but I will keep that in mind. Of course in that first race, I had you bearing down on me with fresh tires as I was about to pit. I was just hoping I wouldn't interfere as I made my way to pit road. :scared:

Hi there,

I would really like to join the enduro league if possible. I don't use driving aids other than ABS.

My PSN ID: juanca87
Car Color: Orange with blue wheels
Number: 87

I'm in BC, Canada if that makes any difference.

Thanks a lot and I hope to see you on the track!

Thanks for joining the Turtle Racing League.
It looks like the colors and the number you have picked are all good to go we will get the Friend Requests sent. Just accept them and you are good to go.
Orange car Blue wheels and number 87
See you on track.👍

Sorry I crapped out on the Enduro race this week after running Tyro. I literally told Martin 'I'll be right back" in the division 1 room, stood up and set off my herniated disc again. I'm playing this week by ear, I've got to get the swelling down first before I make any future decisions.

Thanks! I accepted the friend requests already, it seems like I'm good to go. Just to double check, I will start racing in Division 2, right?

I literally told Martin 'I'll be right back"

Scarecrow, have you never seen any horror movie?? People who say "I'll be right back" never are...

In all seriousness, I hope you feel better!

Fumanchu, A good practice technique that I use to check this is during qualifying I usually do 2 pit stop entries, the first one to change tires with the lower fuel load for the last gasp attempt at pole. Longwhile the second pit stop is when I come in at the completion of qualifying.

First time I come in is at full speed and to see if it penalizes me by putting back by the entry. If it does I use the second one to attemp at 100 mph. If the second time it penalizes me I then try 70mph as that has never let me down. Just something to utilize for future races. I hope it helps

And sometimes, if another car is in a pit stall next to yours at the time of entry, the game may hold up your car. I have had mine come to a complete stop before getting into my pit stall. Quite annoying, particularly if it's a closely contested race where every second counts.

I appreciate the advice, Choate. I will have to test that out. But it's never given me any indication I am doing something wrong as I enter the pit lane such as send me back to the start or anything, but as the car gets ready to turn into the actual pit stall, it will almost act as if it has to parallel park (only nose going in first), like it has to drive around the pit stall just before mine.

I was thinking maybe it was because the other pit crews are still standing in their pit stalls after people have pitted, which would mean there’s nothing I could do other than try to pit earlier than everyone else. But I would think other people would have the same problem then as well.

Yeah, that's bacically what happened on both my stops, only the cars weren't there, but the crews were still standing on pit road lined up against the wall.

But having said all that, still a heck of a fun race.

Ok, so what you were experiencing is what's known as the pit glitch, it will happen every now and again. I have yet to experience this issue but many that I have raced with have. From my experience the timing of other people's pit stops has an effect. So one thing I have noted in the past is the driver in front and behind me on pit road. I avoid at all costs coming into the pits within 5-8 seconds of them. To know who pits around you is as easy as noting down whom is next to you on the list as you enter the room. those will be the people one stall in front, and in back of you on pit road.

I just want to state again, I have yet to experience this glitch but people I have competing against in the same room have. Typically we just call it one of them racin' deals...

Ah, yeah see, it never even occurred to me that we are put in order on pit road based on the order we entered the room. I will take note of that from now on to try to avoid slow stops when possible.

Thanks Choate!

Enjoying the Turtle League a lot, really put a new lease on the life the game. 👍 Big thanks to everyone who helped make this a real challenge. Im sorry I had to miss last week, due to a combination of time constraints and a lack of DLC, and I'm afraid that my weekend is going to be gone this upcoming week as well. I caught a little bit of the CRZ race, and it was pretty intense as race 2 was finishing up. Good luck to everybody on this upcoming race.

Thanks from all of us here at the Turtle Racing League littleregret265. It takes everyone envolved to make it a fun and challenging league.

Not going to make it this week readyornotracing is having a 2 hour parody style race on Saturday, And I'm going to Watkins Glen on the 27th So I'll see you in May.

Is it ok if I change my colors to Formula Chameleon Green with Sunlight Yellow wheels?

Hey tzracer, I'll take a look at the green color. Scarecrow937 has matte green and yellow. If the shades of green are different there shouldn't be a problem with changing. I'll let you know this evening at practice. I may be a little late though, my daughter just started soccer and she has practice. Thanks!

formula chameleon green is one of those color shift colors. nothing like Matte Green, so he'll probably be safe:

Great, thanks micantony! Scarecrow937 must have dark green matte. It is much darker than the matte green you are showing.

I have regular matte green, the above is matte light green. That chameleon Green is nowhere near my colors though, I'm more than okay with it if the league is.

Also, I reserved green/yellow as I may not always have mattes, however any other colors I use would be almost identical to my current set, just metallic or pearl instead of matte. I hope that is okay with everyone...

Edit: Due to my back injury, I'm going to play it safe and take the week off from Tyro and Enduro. If there is one race I don't want to miss, Its 370's at Daytona road. It actually upsets me a lot to miss this race however I'd rather miss one week instead of making the injury worse and missing many.

Also I have a confession...
At my work we release monthly stats and we have to have a code name so we don't know what others stats are. Everyone knows my scarecrow name so I couldn't use that. This was the night after psycho told us the story about the psycho tuber. It was the only thing I could get in my mind so I'm now psycho tuber as well... I've either ticked off the real psycho, or continued a legend. I hope you don't mind!

No problem Scarecrow937. That shade of green is yours. We hope your back gets better soon! Thanks!

The legend lives on! If he only knew...hehe

Let me check my colors. If I have it, give me a few days to dupe some Matte Green for you.

Didn't see Scarecrow with the yellow wheels, I can try a different wheel color.

Orange or pink maybe.

Can bring a painted car to practice tonight to see.

Hey psycho can you send a friend request for all the turtle town divisions and stuff to GTP_Ph7shr I'm going to slowly move over there by sending my cars and stuff to that account SHRED, if you see this add me on that new account and send the paint chips there. Thanks guys! Good practice tonight looking forward to the races!

Psycho, if the colors last night were ok, I would like to use Formula Chameleon Green with Chameleon Orange wheels. Thanks.
