TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - ENDURO Racing Series - PRACTICE TONIGHT!

sonusfaber
Didn't something simlar happen in the second race? I was right behind you and you lost control. I lost control trying to avoid hitting you.

Yeah... see my above post... I touched the wheel wrong before the jump and shot out of a cannon onto the grass. First place to last place instantly... I'll get it down. Thanks for being patient with me everybody

(Edit... I think I'm in a different division from you though)

(Edit... I think I'm in a different division from you though)

Yeah, I'm div 3 and barely even hanging with those guys so far. Only reason I was right behind you was because you lapped me.

The only two Enduro races I have made were a lot of trouble for me. the Lambo race didn't allow the B settings car I had planned. So I had to buy a brand new one just before the race without even the time to do an oil change. The CR-Z will be different. I am ready.

ETA: And yea, I misread your first post. Good luck next race. Probably catch you in practice.

Awesome banner psycho! That's a cool bright red! These cars should be fun around this track!

Thanks Ph1sher! You guys are going to get right out of the VW RM into the CR-Z. Wow, that is going to be fun! I will be driving back from NASA on Saturday and I don't know what time I will get home.

Has anyone ever had an issue where you run an Endurance B-Spec race and the car does not rack up any miles? I ran the Laguna Seca 200 miles in my CRZ a week ago, and last night I double checked if I changed the oil, and the car was a 0/0/0. Even though it was painted, rims changed, and after an endurance race. I ran the Tskuba 9hr overnight to rack up a whopping 605 miles, and it seems to have stuck, but I have had this happen with a few various cars. Weird...

It happens to me all the time. Especially after I clear my cache. It's seems random and I have not found a way to keep it from happening. I will say if I exit B-Spec shortly after the race ends it helps. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I have had this happen sometimes in the shorter bspec races. I think maybe the auto save feature on the fritz. Dont know for sure but thats what I have assumed.

Could be something related to the cache clearing, I didn't think of that. Maybe the mileage info isn't set in stone with an autosave, but more so temp info until the game is manually saved or the game is quit. I have no idea really, all I know is after the 9 hr, I checked the milage, and manually saved, backed out and re entered the game, and it was still there. Next step would be to check the milage after clearing the cache.

Ill be late to practice like usual, ill drive home fast just to get a lap or 2 in for practice, see you guys then!

Thanks guys for getting another race in when I got home! Lots of fun holding that lead! Appericate it! See you guys on Saturday!

Race Recap

Division 1: Choate51 continues to show why he was a GT Academy Finalist by winning both races and getting the Pole for a 100 point win. Choate51 had the Pole in Race 1 so there was nothing in his way to slow him down. In Race 2 he had to pass everyone to get the win including Psycho-Tuber who held him up/off for a few laps. Congratulations Choate51! DREX81 had a nice 2nd Place win in Race 1 and in Race 2 he had a challenge similar to Choate51, having to pass everyone that started in front him for his 2nd Place finish and 2nd Place overall. Nice racing DREX81! Psycho-Tuber had two very solid races and a little help from Scarecrow937 to get his 3rd Place overall finish. Garage-father had a strong 3rd Place finish in Race 2 to pull himself up to 4th Place overall. micantony had a 5th Place finish in Race 1 and a 6th Place finish in Race 2. That was good enough for 5th Place overall. RacingOtaku86 struggled a little in Race 1 finishing in 8th Place, but a 5th Place finish in Race 2 got him 6th Place overall. Scarecrow937 is still getting used to the speed and consistency of Division 1. Two 7th Place finishes earns him 7th Place overall. TX_Executioner was one and done to wrap up the field in 8th Place.

Division 2: Congratulations to ph1sher on his overall win! ph1sher won Race 1 and was able to pass every driver that participated in that race during Race 2. Great racing ph1sher! dragonwhisky and FFK13 battled it out on the track. In fact, dragonwhisky finished just .018 behind FFK13 in Race 2 and they would have tied in points, but dragonwhisky got the Pole and the 2 points that go along with it for 2nd Place overall and FFK13 getting 3rd. Great racing guys! ThethirdRoy had two solid races and the result was 4th Place overall. shred-tec had a 5th Place finish in Race 1 and a 6th Place finish in Race 2 for 5th Place overall. And FuManchu11s 6th Place finish in Race 1 and 7th Place finish in Race 2 gets him 6th Place overall. Johnny_Suede struggled in both races and the result was 7th Place overall. liampage123 joined in for Race 2 and started in front with no one in his way. Meanwhile, the top finishers in Race 1 had to make thier way through the pack. The result, an easy win for liampage123. But points from only race gets him 8th Place overall.

Division 3: Wow, congratulations Division 3 on the close points race. Everyone who raced in both races ended in a points tie with someone. ScorpionPHVH57 and iceandspice swapped 1st and 2nd Places for a tie at 93 Points. ScorpionPHVH57 had the faster lap time and took the "Tie Breaker" and the overall win with iceandspice taking 2nd. Congratulations to ScorpionPHVH57 and iceandspice for the great racing! littleregret265 and johnsom both swapped 3rd and 5th Places. littleregret265 got the "Tie Breaker" and 3rd Place overall with his faster lap time. flesxruoyxllik and spyagent1439 swapped 4th and 6th Places for a tie at 72 points. The "Tie Breaker" went to flesxruoyxllik and so does 5th Place overall with spyagent1439 taking 6th Place. sonusfaber808 joined in Race 2 and finished in 7th Place overall.

It doesn't look like I will be able to race in any turtle events for the next few weeks. If I can, I will still try to make some practices to at least get a little racing in.

Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series

Race 34: Autumn Ring
Car: Honda CR-Z TC
Laps: 32
Tires: Sport Softs
Date: April 13, 2013
Prize: 1994 Birthday Ticket

The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports
"It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free."

Rules

You are expected to follow The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1.

"Rubbin"

This is a non-contact sport. Let me put it another way, if you are "rubbin", you ain't racing in this league! We will not tolerate individual drivers taking the fun out of racing for everyone.

First Turn

You are not going to win the race on the 1st turn or the 1st lap. Therefore, it is the policy of this league for you to hold your position in turn 1. Holding your position in the first turn is limited to the first turn on the first lap. You must hold your position through the 1st turn and make no attempt to advance it unless the following situations occur: 1) The driver directly in front of you is asleep on the start. 2) The driver directly in front of you runs off course with at least 2 wheels off the track. 3) Obvious race incidents that must be avoided. Other drivers may draft past you before the approach to turn 1 if it can be done incident free. In other words, if you are able to fully draft past someone without incident or disruption to the other driver(s) with a reasonable distance before approaching the first turn you may. This rule is in place for 2 reason: (1) to avoid incidents in the first turn, and (2) so that drivers doing their part to avoid incidents in the 1st turn of are not taken advantage of. There is no sense in causing an incident in the congestion of the first turn. Furthermore, it is inappropriate to take advantage of other drivers doing their part to keep turn 1 incident free. If a complaint is filed, the decision we make will be one that promotes an incident free first turn.

Dive Bombing

Dive bombing is unacceptable, and only results in accidents. It is not the same as passing under braking. Dive-bombing is when a trailing car intentionally brakes late to dive underneath the car in front of them as they are turning into a corner. The trailing driver must move to the low groove for at least 3-4 seconds prior to corner entry, so that the leading driver can see the trailing drivers intentions in his mirror. However, running the low groove is not a guarantee that he will allow you to pass, it is only an indication that you wish to pass him on the low side.

Procedures

• Division 1 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division1 lounge

• Division 2 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division2 lounge

• Division 3 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division3 lounge

Connection Issues

Please follow the procedures below to help minimize connection issues.

Step 1: Reboot your modem/router
Step 2: Reboot your PS3
Step 3: Clear your GT5 in game System Cache

Pit Stops

Drivers need to be very careful entering the race track when exiting the pit. Please look at your map to see if other drivers are near the pit exit. Drivers exiting the pit need to stay in the pit exit lane until the track is clear of cars on the track. Cars on the track have the right of way.

Quitting

Drivers are expected to finish races no matter what position they are in. Rage quitting is frowned upon! :grumpy:

Microphones

Although you are welcome to use microphones during the race, they should only be used to communicate your proximity to other drivers in order to avoid an incident. Otherwise, either mute them or make sure any background noise in non-existent.

Reminders

• Hold your position and do not attempt advance it in turn 1 of lap 1

• If you go off track make sure the track is clear before you renter

• If you cause an accident you must wait and give the position back

Race Incidents

Legitimate complaints are encouraged, they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Complaints should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race steward of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a video review by an independent steward. All racing incidents or racing related issues shall be dealt with privately and under no circumstance mentioned publicly.

Final Note

Great fun last night.Congrats Psycho and Garage father on your wins.I knew this would be fun when I joined up.Big big difference racing you guys then racing AI for so long.Totally different mind set.I was able to follow Psycho for a few laps in race 1 and saw a couple of mistakes I was making with my corner entries.Good times.

Yes great racing last night! Psycho ran away from me in race 1 and garagefather ran away from me in race 2!

Another 3 way tie in div. 1!!! That's great racing. That pole position has become mighty important!! Great job psycho!

Great race by all!

Thanks guys! The racing was fantastic last night. Garage-father and DREX81 were much faster in Race 2 than in Race 1. I drove the front tires off that CR-Z in Race 2 and I couldn't gain on them. Congratulations to everyone fortunate enough to participate in those races. They were great!

Hi there,

I would really like to join the enduro league if possible. I don't use driving aids other than ABS.

My PSN ID: juanca87
Car Color: Orange with blue wheels
Number: 87

I'm in BC, Canada if that makes any difference.

Thanks a lot and I hope to see you on the track!
