We get prizes?? What for? I finished 1st in 2 overall races and never got any prizes for tyro. Unless its only for div a :embarrassed:

What was the fast times last night in practice? I ran last night with phisher, mic and otaku to learn the track better. Ended up with a fast lap of 2'42.838. That on par with you fast people?

Sorry I couldn't make it last night. I had a nasty little 24 bug! :ouch:

Hope you're feeling better!

Its way faster than most of us. I'm guessing we will only hit 2.43s as our fastest laps or so. But the 2.42 was a mind blowing fast lap! Nice lap! I kept hitting 2.44s and 2.45 in practice last night. And 1 2.43. So again awesome lap! See you on the track

Last night was a good practice for me.First I want to say, after watching g the replay this morning going thru turn 1 and I don't remember if it was mic or otaku beside me, but I either touched you or pushed you wide left. I apologize for that it was not intentional.I still can't use side view very well.Always want to turn the way I'm looking.Any suggestions on how to use side view better with a controller other than rt.stick would be appreciated.

you didn't hit me. I knew we were side-by-side so i slowed down and went really low into the corner to avoid any potential issues.

It was observed that you were lagging really bad though, so it's possible on someones replay you may have made contact and didnt even realize it. With Lag, your replay will not match our replay.

As for viewing on the side, that is a GT5 flaw, some people use their HUD map view to zoom in so you can see where cars are near you. I don't though, because i like to know where everyone is on the entire track. I just drive cautiously if i'm next to someone trying to estimate how much room they need through the corner.
You get better at it with experience.

Sorry mic. I've been a TT driver my whole career of racing, so I may be able to put down a pretty fast lap but in races, you would surely win. I am not consistent at all. I put in 2-3 laps with a stock car then 2-3 more with the broken in car and then whatever we did last night.

It usually takes me 10 laps to put down a decent time on a track, then another 100/200 laps to fine tune my lines and gain everything I can. I won't be racing with you all Saturday due to work, I just do the practices and run laps to compare myself to other drivers.

Did you change the brake balance to mine? If so, that's why you got the fast lap  haha kidding but really a 43 is very fast as well! Your already super consistant so even if you can pop a 43 in the race. That will help a lot!

Please let me know if it is ok to join this enduro league at this time? If so, I would like to have the car color White and the wheels black. The number 12. My PSN is Xrad-11. Can I start out in Div 1? I am currently at 40/40 level of GT5, and in Div 3 of S.N.A.I.L.

Hey Xradkins, thank you for joining the Enduro Racing Series. The color combination you have chosen is already in use. Please refer to the Drivers List and choose and unused one. The number you have chosen is available. Since you asked to start in Division 1 that's what we will do. Welcome to the Turtle Racing League, we look forward to racing with you!

It is sweet at Cape Ring and the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 RM is great at Suzuka. The schedule turned out really well. 👍

Ok great! I looked closer at the colors used and I would like my cars to be GOLD with BLACK wheels. And still number 12. I see gold is used by one other but with tan wheels.

Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series

Race 38: Cape Ring
Car: Gran Turismo 350Z RS
Laps: 17
Tires: Racing Hards
Date: May 18, 2013
Prize: Level 15 Ticket

The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports
"It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free."

Rules

You are expected to follow The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1.

"Rubbin"

This is a non-contact sport. Let me put it another way, if you are "rubbin", you ain't racing in this league! We will not tolerate individual drivers taking the fun out of racing for everyone.

First Turn

You are not going to win the race on the 1st turn or the 1st lap. Therefore, it is the policy of this league for you to hold your position in turn 1. Holding your position in the first turn is limited to the first turn on the first lap. You must hold your position through the 1st turn and make no attempt to advance it unless the following situations occur: 1) The driver directly in front of you is asleep on the start. 2) The driver directly in front of you runs off course with at least 2 wheels off the track. 3) Obvious race incidents that must be avoided. Other drivers may draft past you before the approach to turn 1 if it can be done incident free. In other words, if you are able to fully draft past someone without incident or disruption to the other driver(s) with a reasonable distance before approaching the first turn you may. This rule is in place for 2 reason: (1) to avoid incidents in the first turn, and (2) so that drivers doing their part to avoid incidents in the 1st turn of are not taken advantage of. There is no sense in causing an incident in the congestion of the first turn. Furthermore, it is inappropriate to take advantage of other drivers doing their part to keep turn 1 incident free. If a complaint is filed, the decision we make will be one that promotes an incident free first turn.

Dive Bombing

Dive bombing is unacceptable, and only results in accidents. It is not the same as passing under braking. Dive-bombing is when a trailing car intentionally brakes late to dive underneath the car in front of them as they are turning into a corner. The trailing driver must move to the low groove for at least 3-4 seconds prior to corner entry, so that the leading driver can see the trailing drivers intentions in his mirror. However, running the low groove is not a guarantee that he will allow you to pass, it is only an indication that you wish to pass him on the low side.

Procedures

• Division 1 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division1 lounge

• Division 2 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division2 lounge

• Division 3 will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division3 lounge

• Division A will race at 10pm Eastern in the TURTLE_Division3 lounge

Connection Issues

Please follow the procedures below to help minimize connection issues.

Step 1: Reboot your modem/router
Step 2: Reboot your PS3
Step 3: Clear your GT5 in game System Cache

Pit Stops

Drivers need to be very careful entering the race track when exiting the pit. Please look at your map to see if other drivers are near the pit exit. Drivers exiting the pit need to stay in the pit exit lane until the track is clear of cars on the track. Cars on the track have the right of way.

Quitting

Drivers are expected to finish races no matter what position they are in. Rage quitting is frowned upon! :grumpy:

Microphones

Although you are welcome to use microphones during the race, they should only be used to communicate your proximity to other drivers in order to avoid an incident. Otherwise, either mute them or make sure any background noise in non-existent.

Reminders

• Hold your position and do not attempt advance it in turn 1 of lap 1

• If you go off track make sure the track is clear before you re-enter

• If you cause an accident you must wait and give the position back

Race Incidents

Legitimate complaints are encouraged, they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Complaints should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race steward of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a video review by an independent steward. All racing incidents or racing related issues shall be dealt with privately and under no circumstance mentioned publicly.

Final Note

Race Clean and Have Fun!

Ready for division 1? We had a great set of races from my vantage point. Seeing how the pit strategies played out and running with Garage-father in race 2 was good. Clean and competitive. Good racing.

Also, good wins Drex.

If any of you folks are ever near Louisville KY let me know and we'll hit Blue Grass Indoor Karting for some fun laps. Did 3 heats yesterday with wife and son and some other folks and had a blast. The Karts are much better than the usual fare I've seen at other touristy facilities, and by better I mean they do run at or near 40MPH, have a adjustable pedals and seats, each car has a telemetry and timing transmitter and you'll even get a results printout at the end of each heat you do.

I was fairly impressed. The only downsides I saw to the facility were they now serve Coke products instead of Pepsi and they have no snackbar facility.

Btw, there's another member from Glasgow named Chadeux. I've never driven a go kart. Could be fun! I was in Louisville last night actually :d

I apologize for not racing with you guys in my awesome Midnight Purple 350Z, but it was done because I went to a baptism for my newest 2nd cousin this morning, and I needed my sleep.

Anyway, this time, I have a request to do something for the next Enduro race. We know its going to be the Mitsu LanEvo IX RM at Trial Mountain, and my normal colour combo is yellow with white wheels numbered 40. We also know its Gran Turismo's 15th anniversary. So, with your permission, I will deck out my LanEvo in the Gran Turismo colours (red and blue) and race with the number 15, to celebrate 15 years of Gran Turismo. What do you say?

Also, which colour combination is better, red body w/ blue wheels, or the other way around?
