Car No. 8

Welcome micantony, to the Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series. To make your experience here an enjoyable one, we expect all drivers to follow "The Golden Rule of Motorsports".

The “Golden Rule” of Motorsports - “It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free.”

The reason “The Golden Rule of Motorsports” is the first thing you read when you get to Turtle Racing League and again when you sign up to join us, is that if you do not believe this rule applies to you, then this league is not for you.

Turtle Racing League is a casual, fun, and clean racing league. Therefore, you are encouraged to read and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1. It is the policy of this league (except Division X) for you to hold your position in turn 1 and not try to improve it. We will not tolerate individual drivers taking the fun out of racing for others.

Please accept the PSN Turtle friend requests when they are sent to you. If you haven't already done so, you may (optional) choose a unique (refer to drivers list) car and wheel color combination. You will also need to choose a unique car number for cars with number plates.

Thank you for joining our league, we look forward to racing with you!

Sincerely, Turtle Racing League

I was wondering if we may apply the "serpentine" technique used in actual NASCAR to ward off slipstreaming

Excuse my ignorance when it comes to NASCAR, but what exactly is the "serpentine" technique. I did a google search and didn't find anything. However the first link posted in Google is the Turtle Racing League thread:)

My guess is weaving side to side down the straights trying to prevent someone from getting your draft. But that is just a guess.

Edit: Great pics:tup:

The "serpentine" technique is very subtle. All it is is when on a straight you slowly move your car right and left like a snake to ward off slipstreaming for the cars behind you.

Want to join the fun.
PSN: terminateu97. Car: #20 Joey Lagano for NASCAR or Black car with green wheels #71
No Assists (ABS only)

Glad to have you join terminateu97.
we got you as Black car / Green wheels #71
Thanks for joining Turtle Racing we look forward to racing with you.

The serpentine technique can be used as long as you are not blocking.

Thanks for the explanation terminateu97.

FROM GTP OLR

10: Defensive Driving:

A:
Leading cars have the right to choose their own line down a straight. They can change their racing line once while driving down a straight (Move from the outside line to the inside, or vice versa). As they approach the next corner, they can return to the racing line of their choice However, they're not allowed to change their line when the behind driver is directly behind and changes his line to try and make a pass. If your movement causes an accident, you're responsible.

Can the division winners please choose their prizes. Either the 1966 Birthday Ticket or the 1967 Birthday Ticket. Thanks and congratulations!

ill try to make the race on saturday if i dont work but ill be at practice!

By myself I was running solid 43.2 for almost 15 laps. That 16 and 17 lap ate about a tenth but the tires let loose at the end of the 17th. Now trying to figure a pit strategie that will no doubt go out the window once the battles and spinning start. Should be interesting.
