Good luck tonight gentlemen! I will not be racing because my surgery still hurts too much to race more than 2-3 laps.

I got the ring right once, on a first lap, earlier and did 55.7, but last night did a 56.1 on Lap 2 practice. For whatever reason I can only do 57s in a race. Very strange like the physics change or something. Happened a few weeks ago too for the race at trial mountain where there was a big difference in grip from practice to race. I swear I'm not on drugs

Have to work on the ring, but probably can't make it tomorrow anyway.

Races start at 10pm eastern. There is only the one straight that will hurt you. If you are able to draft someone that will even things out a bit. We hope you can make it!

1.55.220 lap 1 full fuel. I think I figured out the ring, but was using abs.

Race Recap

Wow, that was fun! There was some very close finishes in both races and in the final results. Oshawa-Joe and Psycho-Tuber battled it out in both races. They didn't have long running battles because they had different tires and therefore much different pit strategies. After the dust settled they both had 87 Points with Oshawa-Joe winning the "Tie Breaker" and 1st Place overall. Congratulations Joe! ABG_Legacy97 went from riches to rags, but his 1st Place finish in Race 1 was good enough for 3rd Place overall. LR_VEGASRACER went from rags to riches, ending up with 75 Points along with Ford-Racing99 and FFK13. The final result after the "Tie Breaker" was LR_VEGASRACER 4th Place overall, Ford-Racing99 5th Place overall, and FFK13 6th Place overall. Close racing guys! shred-tec was fairly consistent with 6th and 7th finishes for 7th Place overall. johnsom was disconnected in Race 2 and ended up in 8th Place overall. Good times!

That was definitely incredible and exciting racing with all the different battles for positions and pit strategies. Tokyo should have even closer racing battles for the top 5 positions.

Tokyo is a really fun track with the Ferrari F1's.

The fastest lap times, duh! Doesn't matter what others lap times are around just worry about your lap times and how fast you are able to get around the track.

(I mean this in a motivational way) you might want someone else to reply to where times will be around.

Im running 1.18s but I'm guessing the faster drivers can run 1.16s or so

I'm going to try and make it for the last hour of F1 practice tonight.

Say, for me 1:18's are fast enough but if I know that 1:16's can be done then I'll try to find a way to shave few more seconds by trying different lines and entry and exit speeds.

At the end of the day... I will still drive with speeds I can manage. 👍

Haha that's good yeah maybe 1.17s should be the time to be around, that's where I am at for lap times but I'm trying to push the car for consistant 1.16s:tup:

You are right on both counts. Great practice and more people should try the F1s as they are very addictive and fun to race. I have to say, this is a great group of guys to race. The F1 is notoriously difficult to drive cleanly, but this group is awesome. Thanks for letting me join in on the fun!

As far as target lap times, I think 1:14s are realistic times to be competitive. Vegas and Legacy/no bull will probably have quick laps in the 1:12s and 13s.

I predict Johnsom will be chasing gold on Thursday night! Great laps you were putting in tonight.
