TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - FORMULA 1 Racing Series - EVERYONE WELCOME!

Can someone send a FR to LEYBA08?

He will try to race tonight.

Yes, I am skipping the Indy race. I don't want you guys to think that I have left the F1 Series or ignored it totally. The last few races I had plans during the evening, and tonight is not that reason. No, I just want to save my energy for the FLEX and the Enduro races; those ones will be longer than usual. So yeah, please don't think that I'm intentionally not showing up.

Thanks RacingOtaku86, we had 10 in the room so we were good. See you in the FLEX race!

Yeah, see you there. I feel bad for not racing, but Indy is not my fastest course with you guys, and the other reasons... Meh, we'll see how tomorrow plays out.

Much nicer having 10 people racing. I had an uphill battle both races after spinning out :dunce: in the first lap of each race, but had fun. Hopefully Leyba shows up again next week and brings a few others with him. 👍

I have emailed Whiterussian and mistersafeway, inviting them to the thread.

Thanks Joe, that will be a big help! 👍

It was nice to see lots of people show up to race. I wasn't able to figure out the last 4 turns (tight S turns and the medium right before the stretch to the finish line). I always lose 2-3 seconds in that sector.

I am looking forward to the next race!

Race Recap

Congratulations to LR_VEGASRACER for his Race 2 and overall wins! LR_VEGASRACER had what appeared to be a big lead in Race 1, but a trip to the sand box on lap 10 cost him the lead to FFK13 and he had to settle for a 2nd Place finish. LR_VEGASRACER pulled over on the start on Race 2 and found himself behind early, but he came all the back to win the race! The 2nd Place finish in Race 1 combined with his 1st Place finish in Race 2 was enough for 1st Place overall. Also congratulations to FFK13 for his Race 1 win and 2nd Place overall finish. After missing his breaking point and getting a penalty for it in the 2nd chicane on the 1st lap of Race 1 FFK13 found himself in last place, but he came all the way back for the win! Psycho-Tuber had a very solid 3rd Place finish in Race 1 but a 5th Place finish in Race 2 left him in a tie with shred-tec who had two solid 4th Place finishes in both Race 1 and Race 2. Psycho-Tuber took the "Tie Breaker" and 3rd Place overall with shred-tec taking 4th Place overall. ABG_Legacy97 had a very good 2nd Place finish in Race 2. In fact, he lead most of Race 2. But a crash on lap 15 handed the lead and the win to LR_VEGASRACER. His 7th Place finish in Race 1 cost him some spots in the overall results and ABG_Legacy97 finished in 5th Place. RacingOtaku86 went on to finish in 6th Place overall and ph1sher rounded out the field with his 7th Place overall finish. Great racing guys!

Race Recap

Congratulations to Oshawa-Joe for his overall win! He had a good first race, and excellent second race, finishing 2nd and 1st respectively. Psycho-Tuber (aka Mr. Consistency) put down two very good races, although his choice to go with medium tires in Race 1 perhaps put him at a disadvantage, and could not keep pace early in the race leaving him in 3rd place for Race 1. In Race 2 he went with Softs and faired much better with a 2nd place finish and only 4.709 seconds behind Oshawa-Joe. Psycho ended up with a 2nd place overall. ABG_Legacy97, despite coming in 1st place in Race 1, had to settle for 5th in Race 2 due to a communications failure, which led to him being out of vehicle at the start of the race. He put down some seriously fast laps though, which put him ahead of shred-tec, and ended up finishing in 3rd place overall. hjhr75-08 and FFK13 were neck and neck both races. FFK13 was the faster of the two drivers, but consistency problems led FFK13 to always be chasing hjhr75-08. In Race 1 the gap between the two was only 0.406 seconds, and it would have been a similar gap in Race 2, but a major mistake in the last turn of the last lap of Race 2 cost FFK13 almost 10 seconds. hjhr75-08 and FFK13 finished 4th and 5th overall. shred-tec, while putting down a few very fast laps, it wasn't enough to claim more than 6th place overall. Great Race everyone, and my appologies to ABG_Legacy97 for the communications failure :(

Hey Claudee, these things do everything you tell them to do. They turn when you tell them to turn, they stop when you tell them to stop and they have no bad habits. A lot of new drivers do very well in these cars. Just think of them as 250cc Shifter Karts!

There is a bit more grip and downforce in 2007. More top speed on the '10, but twitchier. Minor suspension and gearing differences. Most people seem to like the '07 better, but like anything it all comes down to preference as some swear by the '10.
