TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - FORMULA 1 Racing Series - EVERYONE WELCOME!

Hey guys, I forgot I have a T-Ball game tonight. I will be late for practice. If you all want to set up an on line lobby with "Turtle SPEC F1" as the title that would be great. Just post the room number here. Thanks!

Yes, but not 100%. Freak'n summer colds are the worst! :grumpy:

Tell me about it. It's a never ending cycle at my house. Step sons go to their dads for the weekend, get sick from their step sisters who catch stuff at school, a week later my wife gets sick, then I catch it.

Anyway, hope to see you this weekend, unless I'm fishing. Then I hope everyone else gets to see you.

Great, thank you for joining the F1 Racing Series. The helmet helps identify the driver because the cars are basically the same color. If you figure out what color your helmet is let us know and we will update the Drivers List. Thanks, and welcome to the Turtle Racing League!

Turtle Racing League - Simply The Best!

Since the Turtle gods have bestowed their knowledge of efficient grinding im hoping to get into this league soon. Maybe not for tonights race, but certainly next week.

I'll send you a level 24 ticket. That should help you along as well. 👍

Not sure what a ticket is, but I've gone from level 24 to 27 just in the past week from racing here and today doing some grinding. Actually, had quite a bit of fun challenging myself whilst making credits... I can't just ride around with a fast car up front, that's too boring. I was doing the seasonal Japanese 90's races with a suspension tuned RX-7. I was getting 1.3M at 46pp short of the limit. I tried dropping anther 10hp to 90% power limiter, but I keep coming up a bit short.

Anyways, got the F2007 (dark red/yellow)
Lessenjr - Purple/Gold helmet (Striker-14)

On another note.. I know this entire group (TRL) is all based on "spec" racing, but have ya'll ever considered allowing tuning in the F1 club? I mean, if we're driving either one of only two cars every week, it stands to reason that each race is not really starting from scratch. I know spec equates to simplicity and forces drivers to focus mostly on driving, but I find tuning to be a fun challenge and adds that realistic touch to racing that spec sidesteps. That's just me though. Maybe it's not as fun for others.

Sorry for missing the race. Had to stay late at work. So, what strategy paid off? Race softs with a stop, or RM without stopping?

Believe it or not Racing Mediums no pit paid off for me in Race 1 and Racing Hards no pit paid off for RacingOtaku86 in Race 2. LR_VEGASRACER ran Racing Softs in Race 1 and pitted finishing 2nd, and he ran Racing Softs again in Race 2 with no pit and he finished 3rd.

Vegas ran softs and didn't pit :scared: I ran a 1:12.6 in practice but was going through tires very quickly. Probably need 2 stops!:dunce:

Anyway, not too many people can pull off wins against vegas. Congratulations guys!

And not many can beat you in practice races either. Meh, that second race was fun man. My strategy to preserve my Hards paid off big time; it got me a race win. I ran Racing Hards both races, because I knew running the Mediums or Softs will degrade much faster, and could be a problem.

Yes, it is. Btw, I sent you a level 24 ticket. Enjoy!

Lessen, before you open that ticket, backup your save game to a usb drive so you can reload it if you don't get the F10 ( since you already have the F2007)

Lessen, if you didn't manage to get that saved before burning it send me an FR. I have 3 or 4 lvl 24 tickets on 2 different accounts and I can certainly spare a couple.

Both races were very close. I think Vegas finished 2.9xx behind me in Race 1. But, he was coming fast with fresh Racing Softs on. If the race were 1 lap longer he would have won for sure. I finished 1.6xx behind RacingOtaku86 in Race 2. Whew, it was intense!
