Hey that was fun! First race was trying to hold Martin's draft but a costly corkscrew penalty left me hanging out in 2nd alone and keeping an eye on Psycho in the map for the rest of the race. Second race I had a couple screw ups but got to mix it up with Scorpion some then just watched the battle for 1st on the map.
I'd made the switch to Cockpit View and no ABS and was interested to see if I could still hang with the pack. I like it better for sure-more immersive and the car can rotate quickly without the brake thing-a-ma-jig.

It was a good race. I would have liked to have heard what the driver of the Team Falken Porsche had to say on the last lap though. Any chance to make a run on the Vette was shot when that other driver got between them. American Lemans, DTM, FIA GT, V8 Supercar they are all very fun to watch.

Looking forward to Trial Mountain. Should be a fun track for the Roadster.
Just saw that slipstream was on "Strong". That explains being able to hang with Martin, lol.

Didn't see this message oops! Yea that's one of my fastest tracks. I ran low 1'31.1xx's with the occasional 1'30.9xx here and there by myself. I think in practice I had a 24 second lead after 11 laps when I got the pole.
Edit: my ultimate goal is to be able to keep pace with Psycho, Martin and Dolph at any track with any vehicle. I feel like I can somewhat hold my ground with the rest of the field, but I hold those 3 in a higher respect towards being competitive and where I want to be.
There are a few other drivers that are fast as well, they just need to cross over the barrier from being fast to really fast. Phisher, Otaku, scarecrow. You 3 come to mind right off. It wouldn't take much to get you there. I've followed you all and been followed by you quite a bit, I can see more potential out of you.

1:30.9 is insane 👍 My fastest in race was a 1:31.7 I believe, but I was pretty consistant with low to mid 1:32's finishing up in the mid/high 1:33's after tire wear. I kept my B/B at 1/0 and know that I lost time braking early for the corkscrew.

I usually start at 4/2 with FR cars and adjust accordingly depending on how it reacts. I kept it at 4/2 because it gave me the turning I needed plus the braking I needed. Also, the slight left hander with a dip in it before the corkscrew, everyone was braking for it in practice, and I tried it mid race without braking in 4th with success. That's probably good for about .5 there.
I'm usually fast by myself, then when I get around other people I make mistakes or I follow their pace instead of keeping my own.

Yeah, I was able to take that without braking from time to time in practice. Other times I would go wide and end up spinning or in the sand. So I played it safe and would tap the brakes right before. In race I would rather lose a tenth or so a lap then end up in the sand and lose 5 or more seconds and a place or 2.

Yea, race pace differs from practice pace. My idiot self will never break my old TT habits. If I know the fastest way around the corner, I try to take it, regardless if I know I'm goin to make it or not. 9 times out of 10 it's a bad idea.

Hey y'all I'm gonna be MIA for a bit. I'm going to be putting most of my available time into practicing for the TT's for the GT Academy. Who knows, you may see phisher and myself going to the Academy this year and talking about turtle town lol. I'll try to get in a race when I can.
